Can It Be? The Sounds Of Change?

preachingatvillageThe shooting was increasing. I could see the people shooting included people I knew. People that I considered family. Why were they shooting? What was going on? I was pinned down by the shooting. There was no communication available. I finally turned to the group and said “I can not take this any more. Someone needs to do something. I am going to head out.” As I began to head towards the middle of the clearing light began to fill the air. I was not sure from where but in the midst of darkness confidence filled me and I headed towards the center. I called out for peace. Angelic beings began to appear. I was stirred. Not with anger, but with the knowledge that something great was happening. People laid down their weapons. They began to come out of the woods, the shadows. They faces were tear streaked as they entered the clearing. They awaited judgment. I smiled and began to reach out to hug them. To encourage them all would be well.

There is a lot of talk in the Kingdom about the supernatural. And I do not want to sound arrogant or prideful, but talk is not all that we need. We need the majestic. The awesome. We need the “wows” of God. Mark 16:16-18 “He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. “These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” We do not need another generation of “tell me” when what we need is a generation of “show me” or more importantly “wow me”, change me! And that was Old Covenant readying for the transition to New. Miracles, signs and wonders. I find myself wanting to shout it. To make it my mantra, my maxim, my reality.

I feel like I have been playing but not winning them all.

That is about to change!

Yesterday a friend wrote about letting go of things related to foods, including worry and fear. (Now before you jump on me about wisdom, please go read the article. I had her permission to post it here. There is wisdom.)Perhaps one of the greatest steps we can take is an acceptance that results in confidence and lack of worry and fear.

Another friend wrote about a meeting with a fellow leader. How he felt his prayers were being answered about unity being restored. Two of us thought, “this reminds us of the movie Transformations by George Otis, Jr.. What resulted for me was a powerful time when that appeared. I bought a couple of cases and began to distribute them to my friends and area leaders. Soon 13 of us began to gather. Born again ministers in the same time and same place. (Even the UU minister joined us.)We shared pulpits and broke bread. Miracles worked in the unity of the fellowship we had. We saw some transformation but not the city wide one I had hoped for. Believed for. Here we are again, on the cusp of something large. I shared with participants about a regional meeting on January 31st we have coming up, the following.

A few days ago I was in prayer. I was praying about this meeting. I saw things begin to happen on the night of worship that is scheduled. I heard a raw sound of worship coming from deep with in. I posted it on Scott’s Facebook.

There is the power of worship and prayer that is coming forth. Once again we get the opportunity to participate in a corporate expression of His goodness. Whether it is 1 or a thousand I felt that this was the beginning of a new wave of goodness throughout the region. I expect there will those who will say “been there-done that” and let it go. But I full expect that this is a new opportunity that we once had and rode well, but well, “something” happened.

God is asking us to let go of some things. New England is readying to be like never before. (Even when I saw multiple quakes occur in CT in a “plain-field”.) I felt, get ready, get ready.

I hope you will not view this as “just one more thing” by yet “another church” with “some people”, but will truly see that God is getting ready to change the face of New England.

Folks-I sense I am not the only one feeling this or sensing this. What if our prison problem was solved by a wave of goodness changing hearts? What if our homeless population was healed and helped? What if our drug culture was overturned by the presence and power of God? That abortion and murder were kicked to the curb by the heart changes? What if the weaponry of destructive behavior and negativity was laid down? What if???

I am hear to tell you that the State Of The Union of believers looks nothing like the one you just heard last night. Our SOTU is power and might through the Spirit of God, operative in the peace of the Lamb and empowered by the Grace of the One who knows me. Union speaks of unity. Unity opens the door to anointing and transformation. (I am talking the unity of the Spirit where we are one in the Spirit.)

Angels are appearing to expedite change and to extradite destruction. The word “holy” is appearing on the lips of the believer and the music of His people.

Holy is the Lord!

And that is what is happening on a cold day in January 2015.

What if?

  1. Yes! Radical transformation that becomes the daily “normal”. I give the Holy Spirit permission to work in me and through me to bring the Kingdom here. I don’t want to just hear about others experiences anymore! I want to experience the intimacy with the One that changes me from the inside out and pours out to all that is around me. Maybe that is still scary to some. But I am putting my trust in Him that He is all good and has a wonderful plan for my life and wants to use me to bring change to those around me and circumstances around me. I want to see each and everyone on earth, proclaiming that God is good instead of hearing people say that God allowed destruction in their life. God is not letting these things happen (abortion, divorce, death, war, chemicals that destroy things…) God gave us the opportunity and the power to bring the change.
I too want to see change of heart’s because God’s love has so changed us. I want to see people just sort of outdoing one another in blessing each other and loving on one another and helping one another instead of judging and making excuses or just being concerned for ourselves. And I’m not talking about us striving either, where people are just getting burnt out because they’re trying to do everything on their own. I’m talking because the Spirit is leading us and strengthening us and giving us the power to do so and there is joy and peace in it. Bringing heaven here on earth. Being so tuned into the spirit, and being part of what it is that He is doing. I’m getting ready! Heavenly minded ,fresh perspective, spirit led, empowered with Jesus Christ himself grace and truth , so be it.

(And speaking of dreams I’ve been having dreams of speaking in tongues, I’ve had dreams of walking by dead babies and as I walked by then they come to life, I’ve had dreams of praying over people and they’re healed and recognizing that I had nothing to do with the words that I spoke. it’s coming… Or perhaps it’s here!)
