Correcting Our Course

leejohndrowteamLast night I had a number of dreams about education, teaching or going to hear a teacher. Perhaps these dreams are occurring because I have bemoaned the fact that children seem to be being taught less, if taught at all. That  young people are not receiving the necessary understanding to step into life or they have not decided it is valuable enough to implement skills predicated on what they are being taught. Hopelessness seems to be at an all time high, particularly in schools.

In on dream I was asked to teach and when I arrived I hear d a man yelling at someone about the “evil of tongues” and I thought “wow, this will go well for me”. In another I read the curricula and thought, how will be people be prepared.

I am fairly certain God wants to have His children ready and able to do “extraordinary” feats, so one of the questions I have is “how will they know”.

I think we in the church need to evaluate our roles as parents and what we are teaching our children. We need to determine what is important to them as a child, whether it be about God or life instruction and teaching.

Honestly ask yourself where you are at in this process and if necessary reach out for help. It is imperative we correct our course, resolve missteps and turn to Him.

We stand at a door that reads “Great Leaders Abound”. The question is not whether the door will open but will it open for us. In our nation we have seemingly moved away from the pioneering spirit that helped develop this nation. From the leadership qualities of integrity and honestly. Only correction at this early stage allows us to not miss out on all that God is doing.

Clearly the dream showed me the values of teachers and the need for proper education and instruction. The need to resolve doctrinal differences and recognize our uniqueness.

Look at your children and ask yourself, “what can I do”. It is that important .

I would rather face correction in my course now than find myself lost in the darkness.
