Help! I Need Somebody!

heargod2My friend was only allowed 14 items in the container he was being allotted on the train. He was thinking this would not be a “big” deal and did not ask for help from anyone. The items were varied. Some large pieces of furniture, boxes and crates. People had helped him get the items to the loading area, but then he sent everyone away. He was going to finish the loading himself.

While others walked away, I stood to the side where he could not see me. My friend is strong in the natural. He is younger and a big guy to begin with, but I had a thinking that he would not be able to pull it off. As I watched him, the sweat began to appear. I went to the end of the line of stuff and lay on my back, placing my feet against the piece of furniture at the end.My friend had got down to getting most things in, but there was a 1/4 inch left and without clearing it the door would not close. I pressed with my legs. Soon others who had not seen me leave came over. They applied shoulders and bodies to the large pile of things. Finally, there was success. My friend began to jump up and down yelling “Yes! I knew I could do it! Thank you God!” And as he twirled, he saw me getting up off the dirty ground. He then saw others stepping out from behind the pile.

My friend began to weep.

I awoke from the dream. I thought of my friend (Whom I had not seen in years.)and I wondered about him. I wondered about the number 14.

What I saw was a picture of folks who would isolate themselves from others. All the while thinking they can do it on their own. Others who let others help until the final “push”, separating themselves from others. (I have seen this happen a lot over the years. People need people until the ministry begins, wanting it to be them and no one else.)

But all the while they are thinking it is them that is accomplishing something, there is a host of others applying prayer and declaration behind the scenes. There is a cloud of witnesses cheering you on, that they might complete their journey. Their voices of encouragement being heard in the kingdom.

Reality is beginning to take place. Some are recognizing that without the body they are nothing. Others never seeing the need until it is revealed. (Much like the prayer of the prophet for Gehazi. “Open his eyes!)And still others weep when they realize how much they needed the body.

The more I speak to people the more I know the value of community and relationship. For us as believers to see “His kingdom come, His will be done…” we must begin to align with others.

How pleasant is it when the body is in unity. That unity is not just agreement of principle, doctrine and understanding, but of being one in the spirit, soul and body. His spirit, soul and body.

Each one of us has a destiny, but our destiny is dictated by His destiny. And our lives are part and parcel with, the body and its destiny. So many of our successes have been from the unseen prayer of His people.

I sense isolation is being broken. “Me, myself and I” are going away. An increase of prayer. A move of community, that does not isolate but moves through the towns. (For years there have been visions and dreams of thousands of fires in homes across the nation. The winds of God are blowing on them to scatter them today!)

And many will cry out “thank God” to turn and realize they were never alone!
