Preparation Is Not A Four Letter Word

leejohndrowteamI realized yesterday that more people are interested in a “now” word or one that makes them excited than they are in the preparations necessary not only to “get” somewhere, but to stay somewhere. What value is fudging on an entry test or lying on job application only to get to the school or job and not be able to do the work?

For years we have talked about God coming to the unqualified rather than the qualified. I have heard the pithy statements like “God qualifies the unqualified”. I have listened to many sermons on the topic. I agree to a certain extent. I understand the power of grace that lifted us from a sinful cavern and set us upon a rock of salvation. I do. I really do. Treasure Hunt For The Gold

leejohndrowteamThe treasure hunt began. It was near the center of Keene where I live. I watched people going out into the fields where once had stood buildings and homes. How many remember Room 222? Guess if you do, you can tell people you are 29 with perhaps 30 years of experience! I liked that show. It was about a school in California. Continue reading Prophecy Rooms Room 222

Surely God looks down on the pain and is compassionate. But on so many levels He has given us all that is pertaining to life and Godliness, so when things are not happening, perhaps it is time for us to go to the “pantry” (New England storage) and pull from what He has supplied.

This should not be condemning or considered harsh, but simply a reality of our life. Is this not the process of a parent? That we prepare our children with the idea that one day they would be independent. That they would stand and have a clue about life. Continue reading The Role Of Equipping And It’s Need
