Outside The Lines

Over the years I have given careful consideration and observation to “living outside the lines”.

Imagine driving down the road and crossing over the line into oncoming traffic only to cause injury to one’s self.

Yet, too often we attempt to nudge the edge of our knowledge of God’s goodness, armed with the fact that “He loves me” and will never leave me nor forsake me. Continue reading Outside The Lines

Living Legacy – What Does That Mean?

amy dad“Jacob. What do you like best about vacation?”

“Family” replied my eight year old grandson.

For the first time since I was a child we had a family vacation. It consisted of two grandparents, five children and seven grandchildren. It took place on a lake in the middle of “Nowhere” New York. Somehow, some way we got everyone away at the same time to the same place. Continue reading Living Legacy – What Does That Mean?

Grace For All The Right Reasons

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

It is the day of grace. Grace. The man of Jesus. John 1:17 For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

That never ending flow of empowerment through the believer. Grace. Unmerited, undeserved favor. We have heard them all. Used them all. Grace. Continue reading Grace For All The Right Reasons

One By One In New England

leejohndrowteamThis morning I shared a story of a fire across the land of New England. It was a word the Lord gave me with regard to awakening or revival. A timing in and of the Lord, where hearts are changed and focused on Him. The place where His goodness overcomes that which has previously “opposed” or been oblivious of Him. Perfect Love In Imperfect People

leejohndrowteamLast night I had the opportunity to participate in a fun time called “Guess who is coming to dinner”? A number of people chose to be the hosts. Other people agreed to be guests. The lady who thought about doing this put all the names of the guests in a hat. As she picked the people she assigned them to the next host on the list. Guests brought food and hosts had their homes ready. Amazing! So much fun. Continue reading Perfect Love In Imperfect People

Strength From a Broken Place

lydia“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.- 2 Corinthians 12 8-10 Continue reading Strength From a Broken Place

The Thing About Love In The Church

leejohndrowteamMany years ago I was in preparation for a meeting. It was in Maine. I made the decision to take a young man with me. The meeting was in ministry to the unbeliever, specifically seekers of false religions, including witchcraft, new age and paganism. Continue reading The Thing About Love In The Church

Removing Darkness For Goodness’ Sake

leejohndrowteamThis morning I went through some technology frustration. This program would not shut off. Another would not respond. Things did not work the way I had planned or the way they ought to. So, I find myself running a little later than normal. Delays are great opportunities to see patience worked out in one’s life! Continue reading Removing Darkness For Goodness’ Sake

The Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet

preachingatvillageThe man stood at the front of the second floor church assembly. I noticed that the wall had been removed to make more room. I was putting additional chairs in the room, making more room for people. There was a part of me that was feeling an undercurrent of something was “wrong” but honestly I was finding myself too busy taking care of getting people seated and everything squared away. Finally the last chair was in place. People were coming in and I sat to the side. Continue reading The Word Is a Lamp Unto My Feet
