Have you ever been guilty of saying “I will pray about something” and then forget or get busy? Years ago, I found myself in that place. At the time I was pastoring a church and people called all the time. Sometimes I was engrossed in a project or family and would say “I will pray about it”. Then get busy and forget. I felt guilty. I was upset with me. Continue reading Meeting With God And His People
It could be right now. Today.
Too often we think everything is down the road, when in fact it has the potential to be in your today. I do not disagree with timing or seasons, but sometimes we hold onto that “get ready for tomorrow, today” in situations that warrant a NOW! Continue reading Your NOW Is Here!
The enemy of our soul is alive and well, regardless of our belief or lack of belief in him. The devil and his minions move about looking to hurt, kill and destroy. I bring this up because lately I have noticed a number of folks who were struck down by a virus or disease that in many cases had slipped by undiagnosed. Ultimately each received the diagnosis by the most recent team of doctors. But in a few cases, some required 2, 3, even 4th or 5th doctors and teams. It would be one thing if the “disease” just noodled along, but in the most recent cases I had been involved in, the illness came in like gangbusters. Continue reading Destroy The Works Of The Enemy
Interruptions, missed turns and plans changing. All part of the life we lead, the life we walk in. Some of it is demonic, some serendipity, some just…well, change. Continue reading The Weaponry Of His People
The last few weeks I have been making an observation. A lot of people who normally walk with their head held high, understanding this is but a “season” have been feeling pushed about. One of the hardest things about a time such is this, is you begin to take it personally. You begin to see it as you and no one else. It begins to unravel thinking about love and acceptance. It may well be a direct challenge to your belief schedule and all that you believe. Continue reading The Pangs Of Change
Does God heal? That question was brought to me this week by a man in need of healing. My answer is and always will be what the scriptures tell us. He heals. But do I believe it? Absolutely. Even when it does not work? Yes. How can you say that? Because His Word is true and truth. But even with your experience? Yes. Continue reading Does God Heal?
The young woman came to my store every day. Each day she would come by after school and stop in. She was smart, articulate and interesting. She would talk about her hopes and her dreams. She would talk about what she was going to be and where she was going to go. About the world she wanted to see. Continue reading Lay Hands Upon The Sick…
The second trend is to destroy your health. The first was found here.)
The last few months I have seen two tactics of the enemy that have been developing and gaining speed. The first I addressed, was the disconnects that were occurring in people. This included busyness, depression and more. At first, I thought it might have been isolated instances, but as I talked to people, more and more people voiced their feelings of “distance”. In the past I have talked about the advent of social networks (Facebook, etc.) as one of the reasons, the stripping away of freedoms and situations that create the disconnect. Continue reading “Give Me Your Health” The Second Tactic Of The Enemy
Too often we see ourselves changed by situations and circumstances. It is somewhat like being in a car traveling and a large gust of wind comes up, causing a change, even minor, in direction. Or you are traveling in icy weather and the car slides in a direction you had not expected. Oops! What I thought I was doing has changed. Sometimes dramatically. Sometimes it seems like there is no other way to get back to the place you were. Continue reading Don’t Let Your Dreams Be Stolen
