2015-A Time Of Romance, A Vision Of Purpose

preachingatvillageWhy even announce for 2015? Why seek the Lord at all for this? Is it any different?

Throughout yesterday as the messages of hope and the future appeared, I thought “I agree”. “Amen”. “Good for you!” I know people get caught up in resolutions and change. They want to see the new year as better than the last. There is a hope on the table. Continue reading 2015-A Time Of Romance, A Vision Of Purpose

An Heir Of Freedom

2014-03-15 11.16.51A Fortune 100 company (Sony) has been stopped dead in its tracks. 42 million dollars to produce a movie, The Interview was “wasted”. A cyber-attack from a foreign country (North Korea) has held it up and won. Conspiracy, black hats and beliefs aside, the bottom line is this company was a casualty of “war”. (I put that in quotes because who really knows yet. I know what is being said, but…) Continue reading An Heir Of Freedom

The Victory Is Mine!

Ready for God to express Himself.
Ready for God to express Himself.

If there is one thing I have figured out about the Lord is He loves a winner. But His method and manner of getting a winner often begins with one who has lost a time or two. Or is too small. Or too weak. But somehow the miracle working power of the Almighty Himself changes a person into a winner. He takes the normal everyday life of a man or woman and supercharges it. Memorial Day-Remembering The Fallen

My Dad
My father and grandmother

Memorial Day-My dad was a veteran of WWII. He did not die as many did, the very reason we celebrate Memorial Day, for those who gave their lives. My dad, like so many carried the guilt, the pain the hurt of fallen comrades. I never take the sacrifice lightly. This is the second of two articles this weekend on Memorial Day and one that appeared in numerous papers a few years ago.

The Restoration Of Honor And Value

leejohndrowteamAfter a night full of “war” dreams I thought it prudent to just get up! Lots of them. I fully “expected” to see something like “WWIII Has Begun” with all those dreams.

The first dream seemed to be about the post Civil War era, though everything seemed modern. In the dream the North was forcing the South to remove their outer clothing. They gave them nothing in return for the outerwear, but somehow, “generic” clothing appeared. Continue reading The Restoration Of Honor And Value

Going To War – A Time Of Prayer, Declaration and Decree

A Word To Hear
A Word To Hear

I had concluded last night that today I was going to war. Going to war in the fight against injustice. Against wrongdoings. A time of prayer, declaration and decree. I want to be clear I am not going against people. (Ephesians 6) We do not battle people but the devil and dark angels. BUT, we are “battling” a defeated foe. And we battle from a high position, seated with God.

Today is the birthday of my youngest son, Matthew. I am excited for him and all that he has accomplished. (I am excited for all my kids!) In many respects he is the product of “war.” Headed to a Buddhist monastery he had set his sights on, he gave up his possessions and was readying to leave. That prior weekend I had come to the conclusion that this would not, could not, happen on my “watch.” I devoted a time of war and engagement to him. A series of incredible miracles occurred before the end of the week, the most amazing being his salvation that Friday night. Continue reading Going To War – A Time Of Prayer, Declaration and Decree
