Two Sides Of The Coin?

preachingatvillageThere are two sides to every coin (Least as far as I know.) and today was a good example.

A dear friend of mine lost her dad last week. She and her husband asked me to do the “celebration of life” service. It was attended by here family and members of our church family. Even when you know where someone is “going” it forces you to think about the play of things.

Following that Tina and Jacob headed to Connecticut to visit my daughter and husband. In less than a few weeks they will see the face of the baby they have been expecting. She is ready to end this season and begin a new one.

So many consider it life and death. The end of something and the beginning of another.

I felt that this week many are going to recognize they can not hold on to “old ways” and will be forced to give up or willingly release those things (Either way I sense it happening.). The choice will be yours. The desire to hold onto something often is predicated by the fact that we are “not sure” about the next season.

Once again, I return to this thought. God is NOW and in the moment. By remaining with Him in this moment, peace will flood your whole being. Why peace? Because you are in His arms, in His moment. A child may cry when they can not see their mom or dad, but when they appear, the “moment” changes. God is like that. Your “crying” may be because you can’t see Him because you are reviewing the past or seeking the future, but giving yourself over to the “now” rather than the “soon” or the “was”, will flood you with peace.

A coin reflects value and not odds. Life is not heads or tails. It is Him. Whether you see it or not is relevant because the “coin” is there.
