After being “bait and switched” while interviewing for a job I realize not everyone is professional
This morning I was invited in for a job. The company name does not matter. What does matter was their call was for a specific job. When I got there they wanted to do a little “bait & switch.” Meaning what they called me for (Executive Management) was not what they ended up offering me.
Disappointed? Perhaps. I come from a generation that perhaps tends to be naïve on some levels. Putting that behind me. Perhaps I need to be a little more “proactive” and do what I do.Not everyone is looking for what I have to offer. I understand that. BUT-if your company is looking to improve the quality of its operations, build greater business, develop a more solid team or better your overall business, you may want to contact me.
Not every business will need me. I prefer smaller businesses that want to increase their business, add employees or try new ideas, products or services. I don’t mind getting my hands dirty to see something come to fruition.
So some straight up talk and facts.
I am 58 years old. You do not have to ask. I am in good physical health. My doctor said I am as recently as of November of 2013. I don’t mind traveling a little bit. But don’t ask me to work for $10 an hour and drive 100 miles each way. I am a family man, married for 21 years. I have children and grandchildren and they sometimes take priority. I do not work Sundays. Saturdays are okay depending on the work.
The last couple of years of having my home destroyed and getting sick (environmental) are behind me.
I know how to work and work hard. (I have always worked since I was 6.) I have worked in fast food, labored on farms and been in the Fortune 500 world. My friends of many years will vouch for me. I have had good times and difficult times. I have made mistakes and fallen into successes.
And I am willing to bring all that I have to the table to help you.
With that said here is some thought process for you to consider.
A-I live in Keene New Hampshire and care about this region and this area. I care strongly about the business community and the generations that are presented here.
B-I have been in business a long time and understand business people. I have been involved in multiple startups, coaching business folks, teaching business (communication, sales, production and marketing.)
C-I have been a successful trainer & businessman in the retail, service and industrial world in Vermont and New Hampshire as well as consulted and been available around the world.
If you believe you need:
- A person who is good with people and customer service.
- A person who is interested in his community.
- A person who understands business-not just ideas.
- A person who has experience in business incubators, startups and business connections.
- A person devoted to the betterment of his company, his staff and his relationships.
- A person capable of marketing, sales, promotion and advertising.
- A person capable of overseeing a viable office and company.
- A person who has the ability to train staff and prospects to make them more viable for employers.
- A person with communication skills in talking to prospects and businesses seeking to employ.
- A person able to train businesses to increase staff and production.
- A person able to reach out into the business community and add job opportunities to our company.
- A person able to perform all aspects of business and accounting, with a command of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, internet and social media.
- A person who is intuitive and creative.
Well I just may be that person.
So, that is my pitch. I believe I can do all that you need to develop your company to be a profitable business center.
