The enemy is working overtime to get you to step out of the rest Jesus provided for you. He is out to provide you with the best set of rules known to man but set aside by God Himself. No longer to drag you into the works mentality that Jesus provided a way out from.

Are You Salt & Light? Or Are You Dull and Dark…

Don’t lose your vision.

This morning as I looked out my window the sun was shining, illuminating the foliage, bringing fire to the trees and their leaves.

I thought, “Lord, what do you have for me?”

I saw a few things.

I saw tanks pulling in across the horizon. The Lord showed me there was an all out attack on grace and it’s ability to change people…and to leave it alone. That He had it. Personally, I pretty much gave up being a grace policeman in the kingdom a while ago. People attack me and friends of mine. God’s Purpose and You

clip-art-playing-chess-972436The last month or so many of us have been concerned about destiny, purpose and who is supposed to do what.

I have said previously, that it is God’s purpose and destiny that I make myself aware of. In the process I get what I need for my personal “destiny.” I do not focus on what I am going to do, but simply being a vessel that is yielded to Him that He might express His life through me. Waiting on Him is important. James 1:4 So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way. Apostles And Prophets Are Foundation Laying Ministries #9

The Church is a spiritual temple. Jesus Christ is the Foundation of this spiritual temple and we, God’s people, are the living stones that are being built upon this Foundation. (I Corinthians 2:11, I Peter 2:4-10) Apostles and prophets help to lay that foundation of Christ for the people of God.

An improper church foundation will lead to difficulties down the road. Study this pattern and see the value of it.

New Testament Prophets By Name #7

“It was he who gave some to be…prophets.” (Ephesians 4:11) Prophets stand positioned in the divine counsel of God and are to be interpreters of His divine will and purpose. They receive what is from God’s heart and mind and release it to others through the gifts of preaching, teaching and prophesying. Prophets also have the supernatural gifting and ability given by the Holy Spirit to see and predict future events and warn of things to come. As we learn more about the ministry (the function or grace) of the prophet, we can come to realize how valuable this gifting can be to the Body of Christ and the Kingdom of God on earth and also how dangerous it can be to the powers of hell. The prophetic voice is needed more now than ever before.

Jesus Our Prophet #5

This is #5 in our series.

Many Christians today know Jesus as their Shepherd or Pastor, but did you know that Jesus is your Prophet as well? According to the life of Jesus and the scriptures Jesus is Priest, Prophet and King. (Hebrews 7:17-28, Luke 24:19, Matthew 2:2, 21:5)

He is the only man that walked the earth that has held and continues to hold all of these functions or graces. (Through His body.)  Not only is Jesus Priest and King, He is also our Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. (Hebrews 3:1, Luke 24:19, Hebrews 2:10, Matthew 4:17, I Peter 5:4, John 3:2)

This is a very important fact to know.  Why? Because if we want to embrace Jesus, we need to embrace the totality of all whom He is, not just the parts or functions that we choose to. If we want to totally embrace all of Jesus, this includes embracing and receiving His servants or prophets as well.
