A Transformation of Men is Coming

A Dad

Over the last few weeks I have had this “thing” on my mind about being a dad. What is the value of a dad? How can one help? What do we do with this currently “dadless” generation? So many young people are running around without dads or dads that left mom hanging to struggle in the realms of finance and support.

In full disclosure at one point I was that dad. After the loss of my first marriage, I moved on, having two more children. A second divorce came not long after. I now had child support to pay to two ex-wives and three children. But the Lord entered my life and I saw the need to become more responsible not just financially but to provide support emotionally, spiritually and with physical things like warm housing, food and peace. Paying child support, undergirding two step children and maintaining life was not easy but I made it. At the end of “child support” season I had letters from my ex-wives thanking me for being the man I was.

Last night some of this topic was coming up in our prayer time but the Lord has been speaking to me about it for a long time. Over the years of ministry I faced many challenges with a variety of folks in our church fellowships. They included:

  • Sons with no dads
  • Daughters with no dads
  • One parent households of both sides
  • Broken parents left behind
  • Children with lopsided understanding of family
  • Anger, frustration, hurt, pain and more.

I could and have gone off on wayward parents of children who have left them empty handed, broken and busted. Today is not that day. Today is a new day and I see new focus on men and in particular, dads. Grace tells me God believes in reconciliation and restoration of all things. He also tells me one of our “jobs” is to redeem the time. And so I am moving towards that.

What I see happening….

Years ago, in a small Baptist church I prophesied that when the men dance the church would change. Only days later the Toronto outpouring began and men danced. The last few weeks (September of 2013) I have felt the church’s unprecedented growth will be shaped by men understanding who God has called them to be.

I see that the following are readying to change.

  • Men will act more like God than ever before towards their wives, children, parents, church family, friends and places of business.
  • Men will step up to the plate in leading the next move of grace across the land.
  • Husbands will learn the ways of the Lord towards their wives with grace and love.
  • Fathers will be fathers as the Father is, to their children. Providing for their children’s emotional, physical and financial needs from a Dad.
  • Godly men will help children of broken homes in healthy, godly ways.
  • Young men without fathers will turn to “fathers in the faith” to learn.
  • Young women will seek out “mothers in the faith” to learn.
  • Single parents will see God as their supply, not racing for more brokenness.

We are about to see some amazing things amongst men in this land. Men stepping into place. Balanced in all things of God.

I suspect that young men are going to need help here. Young women and young men will have questions. Older men will question how they plug in.

Malachi 4:6 “He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers

Luke 1:17 “It is he who will go as a forerunner before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, TO TURN THE HEARTS OF THE FATHERS BACK TO THE CHILDREN, and the disobedient to the attitude of the righteous, so as to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”

Vision Of Rain and Dreams of Threes

Last night I was sitting here, staring off into “space” waiting for my wife to complete a few things so we could hang out.

VISION October 8th 2013

I saw “moisture” in the air like thick fog but thicker. Many things formed before me, but I came away with this.

It is interesting that God calls the “dry land”, earth in the book of Genesis, only to soon form man from that earth and breathe life into him, causing him to be a living soul. Man has “moisture” entered into him and life begins. He begins to breath. God the one who has a voice like “many waters” by His breath (even in Job-“Hast thou entered the treasuries of the snow, Or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail,”) life is formed. Christ talks in Luke of the soil that has no moisture and the inability of the seed to grow. Also we find in Ezekiel that Ezekiel is asked to speak life over bones. The skin forms a containment of the moisture.

(See water below!)

I saw last night that there is a rain coming like we have never seen before. (Immediately you thought a hard rain-but I say no.) It is a rain with drops like gold. The enemy of the Lord is about to be turned over by His people. For the rain falls upon the just and the unjust.

There is a rain coming. As CCR asked in a song…
“I want to know, have you ever seen the rain
I want to know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin down on a sunny day ”

We have not seen this rain.

That was it for last night.

Dreams & Awakenings from October 9th very early.

I call it Threes-
At 3AM I was awakened, thinking about the baby dedication I have been asked to do this weekend. Back to sleep. 2 more times I was awakened. Each time thinking about from a dream or something what was to happen on Sunday the 13th. The third awakening brought me into an atmosphere where gold drops of rain fell on people and healing and deliverance were rendered. At one point I saw flags or banners being waved over people (Song of Solomon 2:4) and much healing came. They looked like flames of fire. (Acts 2:3)

I sensed something wonderful, something sovereign to happen this weekend. I know we have a guest speaking. I know we have a baby dedication. I know what I know, but I perceived what is to happen is what I “don’t” know. I “saw” healings and deliverance. I saw flags and banners, angels and rain. But I sense something else. Encouragement And Love Found In The Seedbed of Grace & Community

Just a thought?
Just a thought?

My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ,  in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2-3 NIV

Last night while in our class, as I “closed” with prayer the power of the living God showed up. He really likes to be talked about “like He is in the room.” The results were tangible as people just wanted to hang out in the presence of the One who has given us life.  People shared how good things were. (The whole class was a testimony to God but this was like “extra.”) One woman sang wonderfully over another as others prayed. I want to be clear, so often I get caught up in what I am to do I forget what He is there to do! Continue reading Encouragement And Love Found In The Seedbed of Grace & Community

My Trees-A Small Rant – And Solutions…

It is more than just a place to go. It may be how you get there.
It is more than just a place to go. It may be how you get there.

This morning I looked out over the horizon and saw the turning of the trees creeping up on New England. In the midst of a government shutdown do the trees on Federal land know whether or not they are supposed to change? Are they even allowed to change?

So many are not being allowed to enter into the favorite parks to view foliage in light of the shutdown. They are being met with red signs that declare the “Government Shutdown” and the reasons for the closures. (Who paid for the signs? Did we?) How many will visit New England and not be allowed in? (Yay for Wisconsin who declared that many would not be shut down.) Continue reading My Trees-A Small Rant – And Solutions…

How Do You Handle Adversity
How Do You Handle Adversity

Last night while “not sleeping” I meditated on the scripture below.

“…26 that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, 27 to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.…” Colossians 1:26-28 Continue reading Encourage Someone Today

You Can’t Change Them If You Can Not Touch Them

A Word To Hear
A Word To Hear

Over the last few weeks I have meditated on that thought process. Spoken to me a few weeks back, an older man said “you cannot change them if you cannot get it in them.”

Yesterday, I read an article that spoke of a gospel singer returning to her roots after years of going “off the deep end” in her Christianity. Most people recognize that the church for a number of years; got them “saved” and after telling them what had been erased, now turned and said “be careful” as if God would return to a status of “mad” to keep them there. Freedom would flood a person, the power and presence of God would overtake and two minutes later someone would be instructing how to keep “it.” Continue reading You Can’t Change Them If You Can Not Touch Them

A Vision For October- The Birthing Of Something Big!

trumpetI have been away for a few days in West Virginia, enjoying the company of friends. It was an amazing time. Spending time away is always difficult away from family. It is made easier by the fact that I encountered some simply awesome people. My list is partial in the sense I will not remember all that I met. But I am thankful to the ministry of folks like Lynn Hiles, Roger Legg, Bob Smith, Dan Keistler and oh, so many more. Southern hospitality, superb teaching and fellowship. It just warms my heart. Pre-Christians and You

trumpetYesterday I made a note to others that I thought this was the time where God was going to change people who we had prayed for, been in contact with, etc.. He was making them aware of His love. They were “coming in!” Little did I know that one of my “encounters” would be a woman whom I have never met, but knew of her through her spouse who had worked with me.

Last night a message to me indicated a conversation with her daughter that had left her troubled over the issue of heaven. Her daughter did not want to go. The little girl is 5 and I would ask that you would pray for her. We went back and forth. It was hard for me, because I do not type fast, do not know her, but just kept relying on God and saw her crying. Moments later. Continue reading Pre-Christians and You
