This morning an alarm went off on my phone. I was notified of the Google hack and advised to immediately review my account. (I already knew. By the way-when was Google going to send us a letter?)This is not a lesson in security but in the ways you can lose your peace. Unfortunately, because of “how” I process I missed the “check here” button (Later finding out my account was NOT one of the hacked accounts. But I did go through all the methods of changing passwords, additional security and more.)
Because this is “what I do” on some levels it was easy to just recognize the frustration and make the changes.
Too often in our life things can remove our peace before we realize it. My new question is “is this worth it?” My answer is nothing is worth leaving the place of rest, to walk out of the peace of God. Nothing.
The enemy will find new ways, circumstances and situations will occur, but NOTHING is worth the anxious moments.
Yesterday at work, I could tell you that many things were on fire and that is not a good thing. I took multiple walks, left the room, etc., to center myself in that place of rest. I am learning. It is not always easy. But, it is achievable. I use that word achievable because it is on us. It is our job to labor by mixing our faith with the promise. What promise? The promise of peace.
Peace is precious. Don’t lose it!
