I had concluded last night that today I was going to war. Going to war in the fight against injustice. Against wrongdoings. A time of prayer, declaration and decree. I want to be clear I am not going against people. (Ephesians 6) We do not battle people but the devil and dark angels. BUT, we are “battling” a defeated foe. And we battle from a high position, seated with God.

Today is the birthday of my youngest son, Matthew. I am excited for him and all that he has accomplished. (I am excited for all my kids!) In many respects he is the product of “war.” Headed to a Buddhist monastery he had set his sights on, he gave up his possessions and was readying to leave. That prior weekend I had come to the conclusion that this would not, could not, happen on my “watch.” I devoted a time of war and engagement to him. A series of incredible miracles occurred before the end of the week, the most amazing being his salvation that Friday night.

Jacob, my youngest grandson is another product of the “spoils of war.” Many know the story of his miraculous entry into our life against all odds.

Against all odds-God is able and more than enough. Never forget that. Never forget you set the tone. Sometimes it begins with only the seed of revelation, with time and thought upon it to initiate a major shift. And then it is voiced.

The voice. A lot of what happens is not decided upon in that moment. The decree or declaration is simply the tip of the iceberg. Understanding God, knowing His capabilities, trusting Him and personally believing are all keys to the building of the “house” of change. Mark 11:24 “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Daniel 11:32 (NIV) ~ But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

Too often those who embrace the finished work and the entering of His rest forget what their part in change may be. We still are responsible for establishing the kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven. Sons must be seen in the earth.

From position above, high above power and principality we establish His work revealing His goodness and wisdom.

Be an instrument of change in the earth.
