This morning I caught a video of children being removed from a mountaintop. I, like so many others have been praying for the safety of these children, as well as their families. Only this week I read of children’s parents , cutting their hands so these children could drink their blood and not dehydrate and die.

Acts 4:29-31“And now, Lord, take note of their threats, and grant that Your bond-servants may speak Your word with all confidence, while You extend Your hand to heal, and signs and wonders take place through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” And when they had prayed, the place where they had gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness.

I woke up this morning, not “feeling anything” and then I heard, “it is time!”. That scripture came to me. It is time! He has taken note of the threats. It is time! It is time for speaking with confidence. It is time! There is a time for reaching out and there is a time for speaking out.

“God, how did we get here?” I knew His hand would point towards the church. Not in anger but it in answer.

For many a year, the church isolated and hid, keeping it’s people away from the “world”. But we are called to be “salt and light”… How can you hide? How can you abdicate your place in the kingdom’s presence here on earth? It is time! I do not want another meeting on raising the dead or healing the sick, until I see it happen!!!

I am not denigrating meetings or those that teach. I get the desire to just be with friends of like mind and like faith too. But it is time!

God has taken note of their threats and appointed you and I to be the salt, the light to this world, not in “some day to come” but in the now.

Just as a pregnant wife will reach out to a husband and say “it is time”, for the baby is coming! God is arising through His people. One more child to die is too many.

Earlier this week I was praying in the darkness of night for the thousands trapped on the mountain and I was reminded of the verse in Mark 11:23 “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to the mountain move from here to there, and it will move.” I began to see the mountain move. I was reminded of the mountain that the Pope was challenged to move in the 10th century. “Move Muqattam Mountain or die.” The mountain moved.

If God spoke through a donkey, moved a mountain through a pope and the people, SURELY it is time for some answers here and now. It is time!

Psalm 119:126 It is time for the LORD to act, For they have broken Your law.

No longer will we the people of God shrink from our duty or abdicate our positions of authority. No longer will we hide from the call.

For today…it is time!
