The enemy is working overtime to get you to step out of the rest Jesus provided for you. He is out to provide you with the best set of rules known to man but set aside by God Himself. No longer to drag you into the works mentality that Jesus provided a way out from.

VISION
Yesterday during service two objects appeared to me.  The first was a hand grenade. For two days I had been hearing the word encampment. I saw barricades and blockades and then as I saw the grenade dropped it was nuclear in it’s force.The enemy had created and embargo, where “commerce” including communication and supply were being deterred. There was an ungodly stopping of supply, provision.

I saw a nuclear explosion of sorts and people’s minds were being opened to truth as well as to the goodness of God.

I also saw a bull and I thought destruction. What I thought about later was the destruction the people of God were doing to the work of the enemy. Unleashed, much damage was and is being done to the strongholds of the enemy.

DREAM
Last night I had a dream where I saw the enemy take advantage of my desire to see things “complete.” (Unfinished stuff drives me crazy. It can sit in the open if I see the process working, but if not…) I found myself given a task and ability to stop was increasing. With each passing moment as I was taken in a “secondary vision” to other places I saw people  getting caught up in tasks.

Near the end (before my choking spell.) a young couple was driving down the road in a chauffeur driven 1920’s open car. In this old car was a car seat for their child, telling me this was “now” in the dream. While they motored slowly down the road, cars passing them at blurring speeds, the child needed to be changed. The driver pulled to the side, and then laid out plastic and blanket, holding an umbrella (Time for that invention I say years ago. A travel tent! J) while the parents got out to change their child.

Folks-the enemy is ramping up his efforts to pull you out of the peace the Lord has provided for in your life.

Lately the Lord has pointed out to me in my own life and the lives of others,  “what He can do, when I don’t and what He can’t do when I do.”

I thought the following story brought some illustration to this.

According to a Greek legend, in ancient Athens a man noticed the great storyteller Aesop playing childish games with some little boys. He laughed and jeered at Aesop, asking him why he wasted his time in such frivolous activity.

Aesop responded by picking up a bow, loosening its string, and placing it on the ground. Then he said to the critical Athenian, “Now, answer the riddle, if you can. Tell us what the unstrung bows implies.”

The man looked at it for several moments but had no idea what point Aesop was trying to make. Aesop explained, “If you keep a bow always bent, it will break eventually; but if you let it go slack, it will be more fit for use when you want it.”

People are also like that. That’s why we all need to take time to rest. In today’s Scripture, Jesus prescribed time off for His wearied disciples after they had returned from a prolonged period of ministry. And in the Old Testament, God set a pattern for us when He “rested from all His work” (Gen.2:3).

Shouldn’t we take His example seriously? Start by setting aside a special time to relax physically and renew yourself emotionally and spiritually. You will be at your best for the Lord if you have taken time to loosen the bow.
