The culture of grace is at hand…
This morning I received an amazing letter from a friend of mine. He has not be around that long. It was pretty amazing. Over the last few weeks, He has seen the blessing of God and His hand move. Last night he wrote me to tell me of many new blessings, but here is the last part.
“So last night for the first time in 17 years I ran 2 miles . When I got off the treadmill I was sweating but hardly winded. AMAZING .I realize that 2 miles may not seem like much but for me with all my “issues” that was like running a marathon. God is amazing , his word is true, and he is always faithful. Thanks for listenin.”
Frankly , I needed to hear it. The last few days have been rough. Lots of amazing things have been happening. But lots of difficult things have happened too. I have felt like “lots” has been on fire. Finances, health, etc.. But you can never give up or stop contending. God did not promise you a rose garden. I rejoice in the fiery trial because there is a promise at the end. 1 Peter 4 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
Another friend sent this yesterday….
I am just so blessed- after all these years- back and forth in each other’s homes and the last few months renting a room but now it’s finally here- our first apartment together. Brings tears to my eyes. I am so happy!!!!!
This couple had been divorced and remarried!!!!!!!
Life is for the living. And the living have a say in their life
Here is what my first friend said.
Five days after doing what God said, I received a $50 a week raise.
A word of knowledge healed his knees.(He could not run!)
Our culture is not “unique” but it is God. What we teach has been changing lives because it is principled on God and His goodness. I have given a lot of thought to this. When people received prophetic words, others cheered. (Not like the old days of “what about me?” By the way, you can grab on to another’s word(s) and make them your own.)
In our fellowship there is more than a “culture” but a reality that is the result of the culture. When I plant a tomato seed and nourish it, water it and care for it, it grows into a tomato plant producing tomatoes.
We have seen a culture develop (On purpose, with intent.) in our gatherings and homes. Culture is often like a garden. Our culture is predicated on the goodness of heaven pouring out on people in our words and actions. Our seedbed is that of grace, mercy, faith and love. A friend said the other day that our fertilizer was that of relationship. It sounds right. Our words the water of the King.
Anyone that knows me or our culture knows that I believe in declaration and decree. That I believe we are to prophesy light.
Change your thinking-change your words-change your culture.
