Angels & You

leejohndrowteamAngels are becoming more and more visible. Activity is increasing. Is that important? I think so. Hebrews 12:22-23 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,Many years ago I was coming home from Putney to Rutland. I was riding my motorcycle. It was a 1975 750 Honda. It was raining and I was in a hurry to get home. I was shaking as hypothermia was kicking in. My body was convulsing from the shakes. It was getting colder and so was I. The rain was steady. I was coming up on some railroad tracks and moving at about 45MPH. I thought I caught the tracks square, but the rear tire suddenly slid out from under me. The bike started to pass what I can only call the “point of no return”. I prepared myself to “climb” on the side and roll off. As the bike went into a slide, suddenly it righted itself to fishtail 3 times harshly. It was violent but the next thing I knew I was still headed as if nothing ever happened.

I would be lying to say that I “had it under control”. I had no control. I was already cold, tired and struggling. The simple fact that I had avoided a probable accident was right there in my mind. I felt the presence of angels. I knew that divine intervention had just occurred.

I have had many near “misses” over the years. I have walked away from my share of crashes. Whether from racing motorcycles, boats or cars or on the open roads. In 50 years of riding motorcycles it is miraculous that I am still here. Cars, pretty much the same.

In the Bible we are told not to “test” God. We see this in many areas. And I respect the wisdom of that. But sometimes, just maybe an angel is hanging around waiting to help out.

A friend and I had breakfast this morning. One of the topics of conversations was angels and their presence. I shared that I have seen angels, witnessed their presence as well as had read numerous recent day encounters. I am not “reliant” on angels. My trust is in Him. But Him being there connotes the presence of angelic activity and appearance.

I am not an angel “expert” and would be concerned if someone was most likely. My encounters and experiences with angelic beings both evil and good, leave me with the knowledge they are real. But I do not go looking for them. I am thankful for them as I shared in the motorcycle account above, but I am not chasing them down. Frankly, they “frighten” me some. I get that the demonic ones are under authority, but whose authority are the God ones under? I see that they are commissioned by God to assist the saints. Great! But anyone who knows me, knows my encounters of that type cause me to think. And not “hey cool. Thanks for visiting.” Unlike Mary my response is not “hey glad you showed up. Be it unto me according thy will”.

I am more of the guy in the Bible ilk, where when the angel shows I think “uh oh”.

Why even broach this subject? Because I believe we are about to see an outpouring of amazing things. Signs, wonders…and angels. You and I are about to see angelic activity that will “blow our circuits”.

Psalms 91:11– For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
