Are Your Feeling Like You Have Slowed Up?

vision
Don’t lose your vision.

While in worship this morning I had a vision appear to me. It was a long vision. It started early and took minutes.

In the vision the Lord revealed to me a series of gears. The gears were grinding because of sand in them. (Imagine taking an egg beater out to your child’s sand box. And sit there “beating sand.”) I asked the Lord to talk to me about it.

“My people have taken time to leave the rivers of my goodness to come up on shore to evaluate them. In the process they have caused sand to get in the gears of my flowing.”Not too long later my friend Mark shared how his early days with the Lord left Him without understanding. One night he had a dream where the Lord took him up into His lap and began to read the word to him. How we needed to change the words of one song we were singing to “hold me.” God changed his ability to understand.

By leaving the waters and the enjoyment of Him carrying us we were trying to understand what He wanted us simply to get. We have wanted the Lord to see us as “educated” when He wanted us to enjoy Him and Him to enjoy us.

Years ago I was with a number of people who made fun of those who would not get in the river. I am not doing that today. This is NOT the same picture.

God does not want us to people of dirt. He wants us to be people of the river. He breathed life in to the dirt and he became a living soul. (Genesis 2)

I asked more of the Lord. “My people have constrained my Spirit by seeking to be educated.” Moments later my friend said something very similar.

God is desirous of His Holy Ghost (often portrayed as oil) to be more important than our education or our understanding. We are making our lives harder by not allowing the Holy Ghost to move in our lives and to be our teacher.

If you feel “ground” down I hear that the Holy Ghost has the answer!
