Jesus Has A Plan For That

2014-05-03 13.25.11I watched and read of the votes, waking up to a changed political landscape. But I ask you…is it really changed? I long ago began to feel that their world (Meaning politics) is not my world. I could give you all the information on why that is so , but I will not. On the other hand there are some changers in Congress, the Senate and other offices about the nation worthy of looking at.

I know and you know that Jesus is not about fancy parties, limos and getting together to mold and even manipulate a nation. He is about His government, His kingdom and His people. And realistically, He has given them a mandate to live out. Change you, change your family and change your community. Do that and the elections will not be a “what if” but a “thankful time”.

You can choose to believe that politicians are greedy. Jesus has a plan for that. That health care is important. Jesus has a plan for that. That the poor are important. Jesus has a plan for that. That taxes are evil. Jesus has a plan for that. That the schools are out of control. Jesus has a plan for that.

I am pretty sure if you were honest and willing to dig a little into your Bible and hang out with God, you would most likely find that the bases are covered. Jesus had and still has a plan for that.

I found myself in a encounter yesterday that threatened my peace. In a nutshell, a client placed an order and was asking for two part numbers. I keyed them, only to receive a call from the engineer. “He can not do that. It is a violation of his contract with the manufacturer.” I canceled the order and called the customer. I explained that having additional information in a call with the engineer would save him time and money. I thought, “help the client, make a friend”. An hour later he emailed me and asked for parts. He did not “need” an engineering call. So, I thought about it. I went to higher ups and was told that “you cannot save people from themselves”. I sent the order and thought, this is not how I like to work, to sell.

You cannot save people from themselves. Hmmm… I am pretty sure when I entered “ministry” I just wanted to share Jesus. But over time, it began to be more like work than sharing. I thought I could “save them from their self”. I went through the “travel here, go there” time in my life. I had more opportunities than I could shake a stick at. (What does that even mean…”shake a stick at”?)New England, the US, the nations. At some point I had the revelation that I could share, but people would need to make a choice.

Jesus has a plan for that. It is salvation. He had a plan before a plan was needed. He had a plan before I even knew I needed His plan.

My desire is to teach people to hear from God. To wisely choose by listening to God. To recognize His truth and His Truth are important. Jesus has a plan for that.

Most people are “going through” something. They hear lots of voices telling them what to do, but in the midst of it they will be required to make their choice. Jesus has a plan for that. “My sheep know my voice” He said. I have friends who are going through things. Loss of home, gain of home, disappointing circumstances and stellar situations. Each one has a need. Jesus has a plan for that.

I love talking to people. Frankly, I do not do so well with them “not listening”. I am “working” on that. Pretty sure that Jesus has a plan for that.

Today you can be assured that in your life, provision was made for you. He gave it all that you might receive all. When faced with your difficulty or challenge, remember that Jesus has a plan for that. And the God who was and is and ever will be, knew then and He planned and prepared you for it.

It may sound simple, but it is truth. Jesus has a plan for that. He looked across the landscape and He saw you. He looked to the Father and heard. I have a plan for them. For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for well-being and not for trouble, to give you a future and a hope.

And the politics? You will suffer to find the perfect candidate. But stay plugged in. Do not disconnect. Stay the course and you will see and be the change. And relax…Jesus has a plan for that.
