Love Overturns Mountains

What if...
What if…

While reading this morning, the morning of our beloved time change, I read about Joseph of Arimathea. A man who awaited the kingdom of God. He was waiting on something. Whether religiously or with true heart, asked for the body of Christ.

There are many in this hour who await the kingdom of God to manifest. While some are believers (Who see Him as a bloodied king still in a tomb.), I suspect that there are many who are waiting on something to happen. That if they could just get close to the “body of Christ” life would change.

The body of Christ is being sought out by those who would see His kingdom come. They are looking for you! They are seeking out Jesus in the flesh in the form of people. Yesterday I hung out with my wife and grandson, Jacob. We had lunch, napped, watched a movie and learned some things. Life is about family and in the afore mentioned thoughts, it is about His family.

To be body of Christ for those who seek His kingdom. And while it is “not all about you” it is about you. There are those who, like Joseph, are coming out of the closet of religiosity and looking for the real deal. The One who was cloaked in grace, just as He cloaked you in grace.

In a few short days many in our country will put a name on a ballot with the hope that the man or woman they vote for will represent their ideals. Whether it be about abortion or war or lying. But God so loved humanity He sent His son and put His trust in you. He trusts in His Son that He will be glorified in you.

While driving to get my grandson yesterday morning I saw a toy Army truck laying broken in the road. It had most likely fallen out of someone’s vehicle. At first, it triggered me to pray for our Armed Forces, but then I began to see my prayers shutting down the division in the body of Christ.

Over the last few days I have read about the mega church that is divvying itself up in the loss of its leader. I thought to myself, what an interesting time. People will think God is against the mega church. I think God likes numbers, myself. He wrote a book He called Numbers.

It is not about a man, but a many membered corporate man. It is not about buildings, but about people. And I saw myself praying for this ministry in light of the broken truck. How many troops had been injured in the breaking of the “troop carrier”? How many hearts had been broken?

We must not be divisive but inclusive. We must love and not lose. We must embrace with grace.

I am told I lost another hour today. What will I do without it? (I heard for some that was their hour they planned for at the gym!!!)Will I look at will I cry? Or will I remember I have been given eternal life? Today! Here! Now!

Our weapons are not carnal and they are not to be used against the body or against people.

While writing I saw a great mountain loom in the distance. I did not see it when I began, but it has come closer as I have written, as I have prayed, as I have thought on Him. It now is over me and I am in the “belly” of a large mountain. I now hear the scriptures telling me to “move this mountain”. To speak to it.

You have mountains in your life. Your job is to believe and to speak. To create life, to change lives.

While sitting in a restaurant a friend was there. I want His life to change. His son has leukemia. He has a mountain that needs to go away. The church needs to move mountains.

While driving my grandson began to ask me about mountains. How high is it? Why is it there? How long is it? Can we climb it?

He saw the mountain as something to be overcome. Perhaps you will as well!
