Love Was Given That You Might Live

leejohndrowteamIn my dream I was helping people as they came to me for prophetic words. They would seek me out in restaurants and businesses they knew I frequented. It seemed like myself and our team were doing the right things. People would come, receive their prophecy and change their lives.

The town was becoming known for the prophetic culture coupled with the help the local fellowship offered in life changing messages. I felt like I had become located in some “back woods” town of sorts.

One day this couple came to me to make an appointment for one of their employees and friends. The couple were a homosexual couple. They were successful entrepreneurs and often came to me to talk about God. They knew what I believed and what I thought that looked like. But we had a friendship. (Love wins!) I was surrounded with some of our team. The men came to schedule an appointment for their friend and somehow the conversation came around to homosexuality. One of these two men suddenly become animated and angry. (I am not even sure of the trigger.) He yelled at me “And that’s the weed that is the problem.”

At the time I had no clue what he was talking about. The next thing I knew I was in their spacious car. I remember the large dashboard and notes and ideas all up in the trays of the dashboard. In the next moment the car had morphed into a plane and we were headed somewhere. I awoke and it was 5.05AM.

I felt the Lord direct me to Romans 5:5 and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

I look at that dream and I think about a lot of things. One is it is love that wins the lost. Two, that it is the goodness of the Lord poured out through you and I as well as His wooing that brings man to repentance. We must not have a different agenda than His!

In real life the two men have been my friends, through business, conversations about God and life. They know my stance, my belief, but I leave it to them to “figure it out”.

I believe the “weed” that he spoke of is the misunderstanding of the Adamic nature in light of the New Covenant and the death of Christ. The weed that is believed to allow for all types of behavior, not just sexual immorality, but all.

My experience is and will continue to be to share the gospel of good news that the WEED is no longer in the garden. The lineage of Adam broken and the life of liberty in Christ Jesus abounding. Not abounding just to claim “territory” though is that not what it does, but abounding in life and betterment.

We are in a love revival of love being revived and understood.

Years ago in my “hippie-dom” I had a pair of large bell bottom pants with “signs and phrases” all over them. One of those signs said “Love spreads germs”. Now at the time we knew what that meant. (But hey, we were the generation that drank out of a hose and believed in “free love”.)

Germs are microorganisms that bring sickness. (And no, I don’t wear my button or those pants anymore!) But God’s love is spread and does not bring sickness but hope. (New pants-new button, “love spreads hope”?…) It reaches people because you “touch” them.

Why the car to the plane? I believe it speaks of the far reaching of God and His love. We are in transition to some thing bigger.

There is a people who are looking for love in all the wrong places, reaching out for hope and the hope that a believer carries. We don’t get to “choose” who deserves and who gets. He already did. He said the world.

We become more concerned with the homosexuality of the world and less about the world of pornography and adultery.

How about we become concerned about the weed and tell people it is dead?!?!?! (Time to pull out some “ROUNDUP” and kill that weed once and for all!) The old man is dead and hung on a tree. You are alive and totally set free!

Love spreads like wildfire when we realize how good the good news is!
