A Carousel, A Merry-Go-Round, Have We Been Here Before?

Ttrumpethe Carousel

I awoke this morning with anticipation in my heart. Something powerful in the air.  (A friend said “Say that again in your deep, suspenseful movie trailer voice.”) But after yesterday and the encounter I had…Only to find out my wife at roughly the same time was going through a similar encounter miles away. So much so, her co-worker had to talk to about “what was different.”

In the middle of the night I awoke hearing a song playing over and over in my head. Over and over the verses came into my mind until they were so loud I felt I had entered into a realm of heaven for lack of any better thought process. I saw “heaven coming to earth.” In those next few moments I felt a fresh understanding of Matthew 6:10. Of Him and all that He entails, here on earth. “I have made You too small in my eyes” was my thinking. This morning I saw a carousel as I got up. Instantly my mind went to two carousels that I had enjoyed over the years. One was in Lighthouse Park in Connecticut. (In the early 80’s I had photographed this for a project with a large format photographer.) and the other was the carousel at Shelburne Museum in Vermont.

So, why a carousel, I thought. My mind played out the pictures of horses and other animals, as the carousel went round and round in my mind. I listened as the music filled my mind. Her “Have we missed it? Do we get another chance? Where are we going?”

And then I heard the words “Merry Go Round.” I felt the Lord was saying that we have entered a time or a season where there is “merry” to go around. A time of joy. Many have shed tears of pain and hurt, but those tears are about to have redemption. A new season is upon us. One where heaven truly has come to earth.

But the animals and the music? I was reminded of the verse, Mark 16:15, where the Lord “go into the world and preach the gospel to every living creation.”

I do not like the word “unprecedented.” Many have used it to describe a coming “revival” or outpouring. I have been to major outpourings of His spirit. But the word tells us that “there is nothing new under the sun” and yet I keep hearing “unprecedented” and so I simply set it on the table.

Jacob just awoke and is here telling me of a dream in which he was flying. “I flew up to God and stuff.”

I believe we have seen the breaking of a dam in the spirit that is beginning to happen in the natural. I sense you are going to read of powerful outpourings in church services tomorrow. I am not sure what I think about that yet. I sense “found” money or treasures will be topic.

One of the amazing things about getting on a carousel or merry-go-round is the idea that as long as the music is playing you never have to get off. As long as the man keeps the lever open the ride is in motion. God is opening a lever of sorts in this hour. The calliope (A revelation for another time) music is playing. (I am reminded of the vision of Ezekiel and the wheels and the beasts.)

Unbelief is being healed. The supernatural is becoming the natural. Worship the King!
