All I Will Ever Be

leejohndrowteamToo often in our lives the greatest disappointment is to think “this is it”. Followed by “is there all there is?”

I awoke this morning feeling a somberness that I have not encountered for a while. It may simply be that it is 9/10 and I remember 9/11 in our country. It may just be getting older and wanting it better for everyone. I checked to see if it was a spiritual thing that was working to overtake me. It was simply the feeling of “this is it?”

Here we live a life founded in the God of the amazing and yet we get caught up in thinking this situation, that person…is beyond His transformative power. It “feels” like we are on the brink.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.…

Many have shared that this preceding passage is about praise and I agree. But it is deeper than that. It is about whose you are and where you are. You are His…In Him…Hope is there!

Last night I had a new understanding of something. I knew it before, but last night I came to “know it”. You may know somebody but until you meet somebody, it is just a name. Until you sit down over coffee it is not deep enough to change your life.

What you are today may be affected by environment, circumstance and situation. But it does not define who you are. Because who you are has powers beyond your wildest imagination.

“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” ― Albert Einstein

You are not “all you will ever be” but actually contain the potential to BE all you will ever be.

As I sat here this morning, I realize in my mind was the universe’s secrets and the key was my words to unlocking it. Tomorrow is a memorial day for many who died in NYC. I am sure some will try to replicate it somehow and somewhere. We must open our minds to the Lord and our mouths to change. For He is the God of our salvation. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

All I ever will be…has not been seen.
