My friend Pat and I are fellow prophets. We function in the grace given by God in Ephesians 4:11 as prophets. And yet, we are by far different in our words, our demeanor and our process. Still we are great friends. Some years ago, another friend described us as Zechariah and Habakkuk.
A few months ago, I tabled the idea that we ought to pick a topic and write on it. Not talk to one another about it but write our thoughts out and share our sides, our thoughts and our voices. Finally we have done it!
Being around the kingdom, the church and of course the world a long time, gives me a perspective that is different than one just “popping out of the egg”. Continue reading No Longer The Cry Of “Me” But We→
In 1995 I started my first internet company. Internet? Who would have thought? Technological progress at speeds previously before not thought of. Every time you turned around there was a new start-up. Deals were made on napkins in diners and restaurants. Sure the internet had been around some 40 plus years (Thank you Al Gore…)and computers could now fit on your desk instead of taking up your whole bedroom. Each week I would stand before rooms of business people, explaining to them how something they had not heard of, could not see, would make their business better. Continue reading Faster Than Dial Up – He Is Here!→
This morning I went through some technology frustration. This program would not shut off. Another would not respond. Things did not work the way I had planned or the way they ought to. So, I find myself running a little later than normal. Delays are great opportunities to see patience worked out in one’s life! Continue reading Removing Darkness For Goodness’ Sake→
Today is the last night of my home group. For 6 weeks we have talked about engaging with God, hearing from Him. Listening. I love walking with people to help them hear from Him. Let’s be real. We all want to hear from God. Continue reading Hear – Do – Enjoy→
My friend Pat wrote about Nehemiah yesterday. Describing his ministry as well as the ministry of Paul and who we might be needing in the coming day. It triggered something. I like Nehemiah. I like a lot of what he stands for. Represents. Does. Nehemiah has been on my heart for a few weeks. The Lord has been breaking out some cool things that I “knew” but probably was not ready for in recent days. Continue reading Fallen Walls & Burnt Gates→
Years ago I came to the conclusion that if you persevered, you could change outcomes. That if you were strategic you could set things in motion. I even went through a stage, where I made up words-my friends called them Lee-isms. Sometimes phrases. Overtime I came to see two phrases used nationally. And the more influence one develops or the more catchy the phrase, the more likely it is to be accepted. Continue reading Wanted – Discernment For The Win→
Each night I ask the Lord to reveal to me what He would have me to know. Each night He is faithful to visit. And I write about it when I think it is relevant to the body at large. This is one of them this morning. Continue reading Service With A Smile→
This morning I was pondering a string of posts friends had put on Facebook about Bible school. Their thinking at this stage of the game and such. Value and such. I was more the Dr. Seuss kind of guy when it came to school. “Why fit in if you were made to stand out.” (I did try. Only yesterday I was asked why I never went to business school. The answer is simply, I am a terrible student. I can ace a test, get my home work done and race through the books but the physical “school” is virtually impossible for me.) But this is not about school or Bible school or any thing of the sort. Just the seed that was sown in my vivid imagination following some words I had heard earlier. (“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.” Dr. Seuss. I love Dr. Seuss. I have 3 series of childrens’ books I would love to write if I had the time!) Continue reading Looking For God In All The Wrong Places→
I had seen this child before. I knew her from somewhere. Upon waking up I remembered I saw this child in a dream as I prepared for trip to participate in a revival. In the dream I was working on a home I had owned in the 80’s. A friend named Rose (His last name. Rose of Sharon?) was working alongside me. He had ordered a load of materials. As this monstrous truck unloaded, blocking traffic on the hill. There amongst the trees lay a child. Someone went to pick her up. But in the moment they walked away all the materials had been applied to the building. The house was built. They came over and gave me this child. I held her and she began to smile, to laugh. Her smile changed the weather! I could feel it, see it change. My friend looked at the house and said “great job”. I remember the burned down house that had been there weeks before. The work and labor to clean it up and get it ready to restore. (In reality the actual man who bought the house when I lived there had a last name that meant to cease, to stop, to halt!) But as I looked at the house, it was done! Finished! Complete! Continue reading Child Of Promise – Child Of Change→
