Let The Fun Begin

leejohndrowteamVacation. A time of rest and peace for me.

Yesterday I posted an article that generated a ton of prayer requests. I am glad. People need people. Just the idea of people needing people to grow and do life with is probably the sincerest form of revival. (And I am praying for those who sent things in.)

As I talked to a friend, I said it is time for people to be genuine and authentic. I realized how true it was a little later on. Life is changing.

This week, I will be with my kids and their kids. Last night my wife and I along with 3 grandchildren made the lake. As we loaded everything into the house, looking out on the lake, I realized this is the place that brings refreshing to my soul.

Yesterday, even before I left my workplace the following vision happened.

While working on my vacation notice for my clients, I saw a large bowl floating in the air over the USA. I saw it over “time”, and over the past season, it was filling rather “slowly”. But there seemed to be a surge and the bowl was rapidly approaching the brim.

In Revelations 8 we hear of the prayers of the saints. I believe this is indicative that we are to pray and to recognize that our prayers avail much.

I saw the waters begin to spill out over the US. First in droplets, then in small streams until the bowl began to evenly pour out over all the edge.

I submit to you that America needs your prayers of goodness and not condemnation. There is enough darkness in the world without you adding your “prophe-lying”.

We need people who believe the word; not the news, not their friends, not the enemy. And we need them to release it over the nations.

Why? For the now and the generations to come.

Last night I had an encounter of sorts.

When I rented the house we are staying in I thought it was on another lake in another place. The night before as I was looking at directions, I realized where it was. It was a place where my dad and I would come to buy minnows, crayfish and night crawlers for bait. A place where I heard “old men” share stories of fishing for the “big ones”.

The last time I was here was in 1998 when myself and some family members brought my dad’s ashes to the place of his earthly love. The waters of the Adirondacks. We each took a handful of his ashes and released them onto the waters. As they sank to the bottom a large eagle left her nest and swooped from her perch across the waters.

Last night as emotion crept into my life as I came upon the place on the waters, a young eagle watched me from high over the road.

We drove a little further and as we drove into the driveway a sign said “Jesus is Lord”.

I had no “idea” the family that had the house was Christian. I just knew I wanted this house.

Already the children awoke at 5:30 to tell me how cool it was here. (Yes, 5:30 after going to bed at 10:30.)We walked out on the beach. A large snapping turtle came ashore. The house is filled with the smell of bacon, eggs and syrup. In a few moments we will be out on the boat.

You may be going through something. I get it. You may have gone through something. Share it and help others.

Why? Because your family and friends need you!
