Last night I had a series of dreams. A couple woke me up. Perhaps I will share on some of them in the coming days. But here is what is more important to me, that dreams are developing into two categories. One category is the those dreams that introduce people, places and situations and develop an allegorical or “fantasy” scenario. (The ones that seemed so true, only to awaken and realize that is not a true thing or that scripture is not really a scripture.) And yet upon examining them with the Lord I see the play out of them or the value. The second category is that of those which are what they are and come true. (Only the other day I had a dream about someone and it came true just as shown.)
So what does that mean? I think God is trying to get the body to awaken to His voice. Not just by showing His prophetic people what is to come but to enhance and strengthen their walk. (Amos 3:7)
How? If you have a dream about someone or something it is given to you because He is entrusting you. To do what? Perhaps it is simply to pray or to warn. (I had to warn someone this week.)
God is pulling out all the stops to forewarn and to strengthen His body. It is not the only way but it appears to be increasingly important.
As I lay in bed this morning thinking about the day I had before me, (Lake George car show with my grandchildren.) something began to happen. I saw darkness about the globe. Warnings were being given to individuals through dreams and visions. As these things were given I saw lines of light. Some of the lines were red (warnings) while others were blue (body communications)while other colors appeared as well. In the midst of the darkness these lines of light showed brightly. Now some of these “hit a target” and flared, much like a firework. Others simply reached their destination and stopped. Fizzling as darkness overcame.
But as the ones went off like fireworks I realized that God had brought something into the earth and it was spreading like “wildfire”. Whether it was a communication or a teaching or a warning.
God is speaking to His people. Clearly. I am convinced it is not just what He is saying but what the response is. My wife could tell me something and I could pretend to listen, only to realize I do not have a clue about what she has just said.(That would be the fizzle. The fireworks would come later!)So, I have learned to put down my work and pay attention. Our posture of listening is important. Once we have listened we can determine our next step. (How we listen determines how we respond. I think it all determines what will be given to us.)Do we listen to respond or to answer? Or do we listen to hear?
As the fireworks I saw exploded they touched off other “tinder boxes” that brought light into areas. Some were great explosions while others were simply small fires. Others fizzled. I feel like it is important to truly shape our lives to hear. Will you be fizzle or a firework? Will you begin something or end something?
God is speaking. It is important we carry it forth. Darkness can not stand in the sight of light.
