Mixing Their Faith With The Promise

leejohndrowteamIt “seems” like “it” is in the air. The disconnects, the changes, even the heart breaks. Last night my prayer list grew, my phone rang and I thought, I am “taking it in stride”, meaning the flow of things. Apparently taking it in stride was not best approach. I spent a lot of the night “up” and away. While I was “up” I was praying. While I was away I was seeing, as dreams took me all over the place. Yes, it was a pretty sleepless night. But it reminded me that to pray was the “word” of the day, night and all in between.

I prayed for situations, children, relationships and such. I feel the “burden” of prayer not because I have to but because I want to. As I connected with people I saw that the enemy was reaching out to remove peace. To change the place of rest to a place of unrest. And he was getting successful. And it was making me angry. Oh, I was not planning on losing my peace, though my sleep a different story. But I was intent on changing some things for the better.

I felt these words form; “reel them in”. I think there are two parts to that and the first may have to do with bringing them to Him, but what I saw was “don’t let people spin in their situation”. Don’t let them fragment and allow the loss of peace. Pray first. Not Last.

So, I continue on my quest to see more change, more peace and more rest in lives. It will not come from all the words one can say, but inviting the Lord in to the circumstance and establishing peace.

Let me and you become the bastions of peace and the initiators of rest that He has called us to. Let us carry them forth in prayer, reminding them of the promise of peace that sets before them. Encouraging them to mix their faith with the promise of rest.

Today, over our lives (First making us a place of peace.), then over our families and our communities and finally over the nations.
