Stop Making Life Hard and Relax In Him

vision
Don’t lose your vision.

Have you made life too hard?

This morning I was praying for various people including my family. As I prayed the Lord provided me with pictures of people, their situations and their “salvation.” Meaning He had made provision for a way out for you. (1 Corinthians 10:13) I saw my children, my family and my friends making life too hard. They made rules to make it easier to accept failure as they perceived failure.

To paraphrase a prophetic voice (Bob Jones), “there is no difference between taking a nap or raising the dead. The pay is the same for those in the will of God.” Which brings us to this scripture in the book of Hebrews 10:10. For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. Provision has been made. There are no rules other than the life of liberty and life. God’s covenant was with Jesus. You can make it as hard as you want. Do you think there are 10 steps to healing? Or to deliverance? I can only say “have at it.” If you or others feel that there must be a methodology to justify the “why’s” rather than going to the WISE, you can. If you feel the need to burn out or to work harder that is okay.

I do not feel that way.

One of the pictures I saw was a group of birds that had their feet tied to tree branches. They could not see beyond the foliage of the trees.  I came alongside them. They made lame efforts to jump away but they were bound tightly. I gently unwrapped the wire that bound their feet (Why wire? I sense it had something to do with a misunderstanding or bad communications.) As I did the tree branches began to release and as the tension was reduced the branches swung away to reveal a beautiful vista of mountains and sunlight.

I sense sometimes we may well be our own greatest enemy. We allow the communications of life to entrap, blocking the vistas of His goodness and freedoms. We are tied to the tree of what I can only describe as “good and evil” when that tree has no place in a new covenant believer’s life. There is but the tree of life. (Revelation)  We have made rules when there are no rules. Conditions when there are none.

As an old rock and roller I remember Kenny Rogers when He played in a R&R  band called the First Edition. One of the lines was “I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in.” For whatever reason it has been swirling around in my head for the last few weeks. What condition is your condition? To a believer, He has made your condition NEW! He has made every spiritual provision (2 Peter 1:3) available to us. Every promise belongs to you!

Stop making life harder. Period. End of statement. Relax and enjoy His goodness. It is out of His goodness and His rest that we are able to do amazing and miraculous things.
