The Kingdom Is A Goldmine

leejohndrowteamThe old man (He was over 90.) walked through the door of my store. He was dragging 3 Blue Seal bags. (I could hear plastic hitting plastic.) He walked over to my back area.

“I told you I would show you some of my collection,” he said.

He began to show me the small boxes of gold nuggets and spun gold.

He and I had talked often about rocks, minerals and gold. Lots of conversations about gold. Topics like mining, sluicing, panning and such.

(In the late 80’s I had a rock and mineral store, in addition to jewelry stores, brass shops and such. This old man was a prospector. He came in and we talked shop. Sometimes it was history. Sometimes it was money. I really liked him. He often taught gold panning in my store.)

In the town where some of my stores were located there were a lot of gold mines. (Vermont has some of the purest gold there is. 99.47%) Hundred of people had mines. No one was doing anything with them. (Gold was only about $300 an ounce.)

The Kingdom of God is a GOLD MINE. Most believers will tell you they “believe” they are a King’s kid, that they have no lack, but often the ability to see that in their life is lacking. For whatever the reason. It does not make it less true, though. The kingdom works and is expanding.

You are sitting on a gold mine. The question is whether you will dig or not dig.

My friend in Vermont was the only person I knew tapping into the goldmine. Each week he would bring me his findings.

The Kingdom is a goldmine for those who tap into it.

My friend needed tools to find his gold. He need perseverance. He needed to make time. He could tell you where he would find gold. He would follow up on a storm and find new places that had been revealed.

The kingdom is like that. You will need to talk to God and to study His word. You will need to practice and prevail. You will need to leave storms and look for new revelation.

This is your season to mine greater nuggets of truth and seen the spun gold of His goodness.
