Don’t Be Fooled By Discouragement

handsheadLast night was multiple dreams throughout the night. The common thread? People needing people. In each dream there was possibility, opportunity and openings. There was also the need for people to come alongside and help. People need people.

Reaching out is key in so many situations. Reaching in is the key in others.

Something is changing. I sense it, I see it, I observe it. Our voices are being heard. I know many are frustrated, disappointed and discouraged. I said yesterday that so many thought 2014 would be the year and already they are pulling the “plug” on it because something did not happen, did not go right.I shared this vision from yesterday…

Today I saw a “line crossed.” I heard the Lord say the enemy has overstepped lines with many, showing his hand, revealing his tactics. While in service I saw coins on the edge of the river. “Many will come to the river’s edge and be waylaid by the coins when the true value and tremendous riches were just beneath the surface of the waters. A few feet more” I hear Him say.

To seek revelation and not dig deeper will only bring temporary strengthening, temporary respite but I am seeing that if you will take time you will see an eradication of things that have plagued you perhaps for many a year.

Are your children worth digging for? Your relationships? Your self-esteem? (Which comes from God in His identity recognized in you!)

The coins are not a trick of the enemy but an invitation to seek more. They have value but are not the full value. They will provide but are short term answer to a long term problem.  They are to encourage you to not get sidelined but to dig deeper, to go deeper.

Believer! This is your day!

How often do we look for a fix when we need a restoration?  A bandage when we need “surgery”?

I found myself reviewing the news the last 24 hours. I was amazed at how little changed in the last day or so! Please hear me as I am not talking about the accidents, sports or weather.  The greatest story for me was the young man who had gone missing and was found 400 miles away. It required me to think a little. Are people opening up with goodness? Was it too cold? I was simply surprised that there was so little new that grabbed my attention.

Before you think I am “missing something” let me share a few headlines that “caught my eyes.” (After 12 news site visits.)

  • UPDATE: NSA won’t say if spies on Congress…
  • SHE MAKES IT OFFICIAL? (Hillary)
  • ‘A Gift from God’: Woman and Her Doctor Say Prayer Miraculously Healed her Malignant Cancerous Tumor

Two of those I am praying about as the Lord has directed me and one I am celebrating. Remember that we do not have to accept the news, a doctor’s report or a bill as gospel truth. You have a choice and a voice-use it!

For some reason the news have opened up dialogues I believe are relevant to the church. I have been part of conversations over the Colorado pot law, the NSA, fear tactics and some of the things related to those.

The last few days I have seen a lot “going” on. People want, need a good word. They need to know their purpose and have an understanding of who they were and what they are called to. But, can I say this? Sometimes that alone is not enough to “hang your hat on”. Not having a revelation of who you are is of far more consequence than not seeing or feeling your purpose.

All of us are unique in our gifting and creation, with the thumbprint of God and His DNA flowing. He has a built in purpose. Our job is to recognize it, to realize it and to walk in it. Sometimes you need people in your life to help you with that.

…Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side…John 20:19–20 He spoke peace over their lives, they saw His face. He showed them His hands as proof of a sign of help. He revealed His side that they might see where they came from .

Disappointment, discouragement and disaster? I get it. I understand what many of you are going through. Over the last few years, my home was destroyed, subsequently losing it 4 years later, I was sick and lost my business. I questioned what was happening and where I was going.

If you arrive with no other answer or revelation today, please let it be this…God loves you! It’s not about “how can He?” but a simple understanding that He does!

Today begin to look around. Smell the coffee, the roses. Watch the sun. Be childlike.

Be willing to dig in and not check out.
