The Authority And Power Inside

leejohndrowteamIn my dream last night I was teaching in a school. The students were probably high school age, but the unusual part was each day new students would appear and one from the day before would remain. The fast changing atmosphere was interesting in the meeting of the people. The process of just sharing the same information for a month or so was different and not much of a challenge. At the end of the month I would have a class of “left overs” and the real process of what I was to teach was on. Living in the Kingdom while being in the world and integrating the life of the Kingdom to change the world. In the next scene I was found in a downtown building somewhere, assigning living quarters and such. I remember the “cheapest” electric company was SCAMS and was owned by someone’s family member. The question was why was the family asking us to use SCAMS and not their premier company?

And then I began to show them all the hidden passageways and secret rooms. A lot of them shrugged off the “hidden places” and exploration.

I awoke from the dream frustrated. I wanted to yell, “what is your problem?”

People of God, it is time for us to recognize the kingdom is not fair and favor is not for everyone. That is why it is called favor. Not everyone collects the same benefits. In part, not due to the “inequality” of the kingdom but due to the “requirements” of the kingdom as well as the recognition of God. Anyone can be saved and still not recognize the benefits of God. Psalm 68:19, Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah. Anyone can carry a Bible but not everyone knows the power of the Bible or even what is to be found in it. (Check out Psalm 103.) If you think God is not speaking to you you have not learned His language, to hear His voice. I would ask you to practice, to check in. He is talking.

All the students in the dream did not make it through to the second day. (I do not think this was “just” about young people.) Only one! And then at the end of the month after many of them had listened to the same teaching, they still found out their deficits, their shortcomings popping up.

I often look around a room of people, at all the potential, all the pent up destiny and I watch people make choices that preempt the place of Goodness and the forward motion. They will expedite relationships, jobs and forget all about the long term effects of choice. Favor and growth do not usually come by “everyday” choices but often by the challenging choice. “…Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.… Ephesians 5:15-17 (For instance a concert pianist might sacrifice relationships and such to get to the pinnacle of success.)

The hard part for me is those who “get it” will most likely be the ones who read this, not the ones who need to think about it.

There are hidden places in God. Not that it is not all there from day 1, but revelation is the uncovering of that which is already there. There are places I have not yet discovered, ways to get there I have not seen.

The power of God is always there. The two “power” companies? Will we recognize the counterfeit? What will we do with it?

And finally we come to the authority of the believer. I wrote this last night. “The authority of the believer is found in believing in the authority of the Believer!” Jesus believed AND defeated your foes! He believes this. Do you?

Too many people are seeking a formula to fix things, to change things. Have you ever thought that you are there to LEARN something? That God has allowed you to be in a weird place or a difficult season, because He is waiting on you? Some of you need to gain peace or forgiveness. Others need to recognize the authority within. Everyone has authority. Not everyone believes it. Are you living in fear? Sometimes fear is triggered because we are holding onto to something that is not ours or not necessary to our next place.

What demon is too powerful for Jesus in you? None!

Today is a day of growth for those who accept it. To be readied for tomorrow. Your challenges of tomorrow often are because of the lessons not learned today.
