Why do we pray for those in authority?

Why do we pray for those in authority? What will be the result? What do we pray? This video is a beginning for those who want to pray as we have been asked to for those in authority and is a follow up from our Debate video and Civil War Dream video.

Paul’s purpose for writing to Timothy is expressed in1 Timothy 3:14-15

14 These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly; 15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

An important part of our conduct in the family of God concerns our family.
And such prayers are to be offered “for all men” yet Paul does go on to specify “for kings and all who are in authority.”

WHAT KIND OF PRAYERS?

A. SUPPLICATIONS…
1. These are petitions for certain definite needs
2. Humble requests which one makes in the light of this or that concrete situation which God alone can furnish help
3. E.g., when leaders are faced with a crisis
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

More to come in the next video.
This is a follow up to two videos. “After The Debates” & A “Civil War Dream.”
