Action or Reaction – 2 Ways We Approach Life

I love to write. Yet, I allowed a circumstance or two, to take me off my game in the area of life this past year or so.

Life can do that.

The question on the table is, what will your response be? Will it be reaction? (“My car broke down. I HAVE to fix it.”) Or will be action? (My car broke down and I had put the money aside, so while painful, it is not going to move me off my game.)

Too many people, do not understand this. That we can “tell” our money where to go, as opposed to dictating our life. Or that we can put caution to the wind in a business venture, or plan for future things. Even our families, can receive our action and not our reaction.

I have a piece of paper on my coffee table. It says “PRIORITIES”.

My priorities the last year became more reactionary than I care to admit.

Too often “priorities” become what one has to do and what order they go in (reaction) and not what one wants to do. (action)

Here I am, with a fresh piece of paper, and the opportunity to be an actionary and not a reactionary.

The goal is to determine your course and not let the course determine you. For as I have learned in life, “any dead fish can swim downstream”.

Today is the day to put pen to paper. To create and to astound.

What will I do? What will you do?
