Jehovah Perazim Your Break Through

preachingatvillageToday while I was preaching in my church family, I was reminded of the spirit of breakthrough. In the old testament there was the story about the breaker or the Lord of break through, Jehovah Perazim.

The scriptures are here in 2 Samuel 5:19-21

…19Then David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You give them into my hand?” And the LORD said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.” So David came to Baal-perazim and defeated them there; and he said, “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me like the breakthrough of waters.” Therefore he named that place Baal-perazim.They abandoned their idols there, so David and his men carried them away.…

It is here you see a “break through”.

In 1 Chronicles 14:11 So they came up to Baal-perazim, and David defeated them there; and David said, “God has broken through my enemies by my hand, like the breakthrough of waters.” Therefore they named that place Baal-perazim.

And finally in Isaiah 28:21 For the LORD will rise up as at Mount Perazim, He will be stirred up as in the valley of Gibeon, To do His task, His unusual task, And to work His work, His extraordinary work.

Baal Perazim meant the Lord of the break throughs. As you read these scriptures you see there was a “going up” but after the crucifixion, you had your “going up”. You were seated in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6. Your “catching up” was then. Just as Jesus ascended and led “captive a host of captives” (not including a tombstone stop to discuss His going up with Mary…is this why all the dead were walking around? Were they interrupted? Matthew 27:52) so are you in a new place now.

The Lord dwells in you. The break through you have been seeking is on the inside wanting to come out. He is gone before you

Today your break through is closer than you realize.

Stop getting stuck and let the break through break out! Be a breaker for the kingdom and not a stall-er. It is time!
