In a dream, I found myself on an island helping a friend move off the island. There were all sorts of delays and finally all his belongings were put into a container and readied to leave. And then my job was to get to the airport and get on a plane to return to the US.
The decision was made to wait a few days rather than be pressured in the leaving.
I awoke with a sense of dissatisfaction because I had not left and felt as if something had not been completed.Continue reading Changing Your World→
Many years ago I found myself in trouble. Not just a little trouble but a lot. I did not know peace and I tried to find it.
Long before I ever got saved I sought to find peace. I was tortured by depression, anxiety and such. I was on enough medicines to sink a battleship.
And then one day in the midst of turmoil the Lord spoke to me and peace came in the midst of the storm. And I came to realize that His peace was supernatural and efficient in ways I could never imagine. Certainly years of self-help, meditation and seeking had not worked for me. For many a year I have taught that “peace was our referee” meaning that there is a peace that God has provided for through The Holy Spirit. I predicate that thought and statement on multiple scriptures throughout the Old and New Testaments.
Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]; because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:7And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
That thought has not changed, but it is clear to me that many have forgotten that we must couple that peace in my statement, with the attributes of God which would include grace (1 Corinthians 1:30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God —and righteousness and sanctification and redemption–) and wisdom. Somehow we want to separate the attributes or the parts of God into compartments. (We did it with the “names of Jehovah.”) All of God is seen in the nature of who he is, love. This morning I awoke about 4 from an unusual dream even for me. In the dream I was aboard an airplane. The airplane was flying over the Atlantic Ocean. On board with me were 2 associates. Two young women were accompanying me to what I believed to be the Olympics. As the plane began to descend, I asked where we were going, one of the young women responded, with “Inerton.” I replied with, “that’s weird, I have never heard of it.” As we were preparing to land there was tremendous explosion nearby. The plane shuddered and arced away sharply. “They have blown up the airport” I was told. “We will make an emergency landing because the gear was damaged.” As I looked out the window I saw flames and smoke. As the plane descended I began to see that we were going to land on a highway. Everything went into slow motion. As we dropped the wings began to hit poles and finally with a loud screech, we came to a stop and we settled. Doors began to open and the women and I were taken down the emergency ramps. (It was then I realized there were no other passengers, but only us and the staff.) As I tried to look around a large black car came up near us and we were scrambled into it. The car took off at a normal speed, no emergency maneuvers or evasion techniques that I could discern. Continue reading A Trip To Inerton – A Dream August 5th, 2013→
