Unusual Sightings

This morning I was sitting here thinking on things. I had two articles in my head, that I wanted to pursue. Two thought processes that I thought were really important. I was just getting ready to “settle down” with the coffee and begin. “I am ready” I thought.

And then I heard these words as if they were spoken by someone sitting next to me. “Unusual sightings.” Huh? And then my mind began to flood with images and “video” and I sat here awash in the power and the presence of God. Now what happened to me probably happens to others, but lately I have been more consumed than ever with “hearing God” and making sure I do not miss a stroke. I do not want to miss it. And I feel compelled that God would have me share it. While the scripture speaks of our tongue as the “pen of a skill writer” I am often overwhelmed with His love and His trust of myself and man in general. This is my recording of it.

Yesterday, a man I never met was speaking to me. He said “I am sure if we met we would find a lot to talk about”. He is a man who loves his barbecue. I said “I was pretty sure the primary ministry of Jesus was food and family and that the barbecue was perhaps the New Testament offering of burning flesh.” People.

So what does that have to do with “unusual sightings”? As I watched the flashes of images, many were people. I felt the next few months of 2014 are going to be alive with tremendous exploits of men, women and children. People who were “nobodies” have been prepared to be somebodies and new meaning will be given to great exploits. You will see and hear of the dead raised on city sidewalks and community playgrounds. Even as I wrote that I heard “if not now…when?” I saw tremendous healing entering places of sickness, death and disease. Months ago I saw people entering hospitals and hospitals emptying. (That is God’s health care plan to ALL people.)

And here I was hoping unusual sightings would be the capture of Bigfoot, Sasquatch or maybe ET. Champ or the Lochness monster would be cool as well. No folks, but I do feel there are people who are being readied to be “a sign and a wonder”. (Even as I read what I just wrote, I wonder, if I just read this, would I take it seriously.” Last week, I had a word I received. Something was to have happened over the weekend. In review it was a great weekend and some things broke, but it was not to the level of the word, I thought. And I felt the Lord say to me, “words are tools. Will you use them?” So somewhere, I realized the pendulum swung from “do everything you can” to “I don’t have to do anything” in areas of the body. And perhaps mine, as well on a level. But I feel impressed to ask “what are you doing with some of those words?” If God spoke it, He has empowered us to live in it and to live out of it.)

And I saw water coming out of the rocks in the desert. I know that is a picture of our life, but I felt that “California, you are not under the judgment of the Lord, but where is the people who will speak to the rock? Where are those who will bring the cross to change the bitter waters, as the tree was thrown into the waters Marah?”

One of the more dramatic flashes was an exodus of His people leaving legalism, coming out from under the rule of the law and Pharoah and I thought “many are those in the Middle East who are being caught up by grace”. Just as I watched the Berlin Wall fall just a few short months after my salvation, I saw dramatic structures begin to fall to the amazement of many. I saw powerful changes in North Korea. I saw heads of state and demonic structures receiving Christ. Not with hidden salvations but as dramatic as the “fall to the ground” of Saul on the road to Damascus.

As I write this I am being swept up in the winds of intercession. I see intercession rising out of church fellowships. Prayer that was once seeming to be the “lonely stepchild of the church” is being revived and powerful out pourings of worship and prayer are moving out into the streets.

And I saw swords. Not the swords of destruction but truly the sword of the Spirit, being once again wielded with strategy and direction. (A funny picture just showed to me. I saw the attire of a man in fencing outfit and I saw the black figure with a fallen sword saying “curses…foiled again.”) The word is rising in the land!!!

I may share some additional sightings over the next day or so.

But I want to encourage you to look for these dramatic and unusual sightings. They will be seen in the sky and on the earth. They are not signal the end but to usher in the power of God and His mature Sons. You will see light where once there had been darkness.

I close with this. Salvation is nigh. For those who have watched things get so bad, I encourage you to embrace the joy of your salvation and embrace how good it is and how great it is becoming.

And I as I went press “submit” I heard “the dance of Victory is coming to the church”.
