I have been away for a few days in West Virginia, enjoying the company of friends. It was an amazing time. Spending time away is always difficult away from family. It is made easier by the fact that I encountered some simply awesome people. My list is partial in the sense I will not remember all that I met. But I am thankful to the ministry of folks like Lynn Hiles, Roger Legg, Bob Smith, Dan Keistler and oh, so many more. Southern hospitality, superb teaching and fellowship. It just warms my heart. Pre-Christians and You
Yesterday I made a note to others that I thought this was the time where God was going to change people who we had prayed for, been in contact with, etc.. He was making them aware of His love. They were “coming in!” Little did I know that one of my “encounters” would be a woman whom I have never met, but knew of her through her spouse who had worked with me.
Last night a message to me indicated a conversation with her daughter that had left her troubled over the issue of heaven. Her daughter did not want to go. The little girl is 5 and I would ask that you would pray for her. We went back and forth. It was hard for me, because I do not type fast, do not know her, but just kept relying on God and saw her crying. Moments later. Continue reading Pre-Christians and You
What Would Happen? If Well…God Showed Up!
I want to ask you something. What would happen if you went to your church fellowship this week and…
As you were worshipping God, people began to shriek from the power of the healings entering their bodies? People simply came to the front and cried and wept and thanked God for His goodness. What if angels began to walk in the service and were visible to more than a few? That the worship team could not contain their joy or the power of His spirit? That people spontaneously gave their life over to Him? That tears and laughter filled the house? Continue reading What Would Happen? If Well…God Showed Up!
A Carousel, A Merry-Go-Round, Have We Been Here Before?
I awoke this morning with anticipation in my heart. Something powerful in the air. (A friend said “Say that again in your deep, suspenseful movie trailer voice.”) But after yesterday and the encounter I had…Only to find out my wife at roughly the same time was going through a similar encounter miles away. So much so, her co-worker had to talk to about “what was different.”
In the middle of the night I awoke hearing a song playing over and over in my head. Over and over the verses came into my mind until they were so loud I felt I had entered into a realm of heaven for lack of any better thought process. I saw “heaven coming to earth.” In those next few moments I felt a fresh understanding of Matthew 6:10. Of Him and all that He entails, here on earth. “I have made You too small in my eyes” was my thinking. Continue reading A Carousel, A Merry-Go-Round, Have We Been Here Before?
Antioch A Place In God’s Heart
I was simply studying a little bit this morning about the prophetic voice for an upcoming manual. And as I read through a few scriptures I was struck with the fact that the believers at Antioch were filled with faith!
And then Antioch jumped off the page at me. What? Don’t interrupt me, I was thinking, but it literally lifted off the screen. I knew I had to research it. Continue reading Antioch A Place In God’s Heart
Stop Making Life Hard and Relax In Him
Have you made life too hard?
This morning I was praying for various people including my family. As I prayed the Lord provided me with pictures of people, their situations and their “salvation.” Meaning He had made provision for a way out for you. (1 Corinthians 10:13) I saw my children, my family and my friends making life too hard. They made rules to make it easier to accept failure as they perceived failure.
To paraphrase a prophetic voice (Bob Jones), “there is no difference between taking a nap or raising the dead. The pay is the same for those in the will of God.” Which brings us to this scripture in the book of Hebrews 10:10. For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time. Provision has been made. There are no rules other than the life of liberty and life. God’s covenant was with Jesus. Continue reading Stop Making Life Hard and Relax In Him
Are Your Feeling Like You Have Slowed Up?
While in worship this morning I had a vision appear to me. It was a long vision. It started early and took minutes.
In the vision the Lord revealed to me a series of gears. The gears were grinding because of sand in them. (Imagine taking an egg beater out to your child’s sand box. And sit there “beating sand.”) I asked the Lord to talk to me about it.
“My people have taken time to leave the rivers of my goodness to come up on shore to evaluate them. In the process they have caused sand to get in the gears of my flowing.” Continue reading Are Your Feeling Like You Have Slowed Up?
The Return To Tradition – Don’t Do It!
I was just finishing up the dishes. I had experienced a tiredness earlier and had just awakened. As I watched water swirling down the drain, I saw an older white church building. It was very much New England in its appearance. Continue reading The Return To Tradition – Don’t Do It!
Full Days Ahead – Just Watch and See
Taste and see that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8) It continues on to tell us it is in refuge in Him that we have opportunity to see this. In Matthew 5:6 it tells us that “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst…” We are fast approaching the “seeing” of God in many ways. My friend Randall shared last night a testimony that was amazing, of the appearance of God to a former Muslim cleric. This is not the first time I heard a story of this type.
The kingdom of God is at hand. (Matthew 3:2) The “wow’s” of God right before our eyes. As Elisha prayed, Gehazi’s eyes were opened. (2 Kings 6:17) Continue reading Full Days Ahead – Just Watch and See
A Rule Of Ensnarement – A Trap Being Set
Anyone who has known me for any length of time knows that I am intrigued by history and people who love and understand history. (My thoughts that we have dumbed down the education in this area are known as widely!)
This morning I prepared for church fellowship and I was praying for friends and such. I began to hear words about entrapment. (He showed me very specific entrapments of the enemy for various people and I will be sharing those with them later.) Entrapment is defined at the action or the act of being entrapped or captured. (A little further on it says that the person might be prosecuted for the entrapped act. Isn’t that just like satan? Set you up and then remind you? To no avail if you know the word of God.) The Lord began to reveal traps and strategy to avoid or destroy.
