Last night I had a dream about an old friend I have known for over 20 years. He was one of those people who began to reveal the grace of God to me. My friend nearly 20 years later continues to have an influence on me. While he was in my early life he began to show me the value of being a father and how we had the potential to move mountains through our lives. Redemption Or Bankruptcy? The Choice Is Yours
Last night one of my dreams put me in a place of contention with a friend over the world, economics and the topic of bankruptcy versus redemption. He was telling me that in the process of his loss he had been able to develop a process of redemption rather than bankruptcy allowing him and his wife to move ahead.
Now, as I awoke I thought about it. First, the reality of it. (Could not validate his point.) Then on to his points. Continue reading Redemption Or Bankruptcy? The Choice Is Yours
Where Do You Turn?
I have noticed a phenomenon that concerns me, not for religion’s sake but for the fact that I desire a higher quality of living in people’s lives. It is that of seeking alternatives to God and His provision.
When I came into the kingdom of light, my health was not high. I had gone through times of severe depression which led to obesity and the related side effects. I took medicines like candy and thought the fix remained on the aisles of the local pharmacy. When I became a believer I had my eyes opened to the scripture found in the book of 1 Peter. Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. Continue reading Where Do You Turn?
The Incorruptible Dream – A Telling Season
I had a very intense dream last night. So intense that when I actually woke up I got up to walk away from it and the dream “followed” me. It kept on going.
In the dream I was asked to come on board and take over this publishing house. One of its projects was a local newspaper. I agreed and things went well. It was a quaint New England town with lots of white paint, green shutters and black iron fences. As we moved towards fall and foliage events I began to feel the job joy waning. I spent my time visiting people, writing stories, taking pictures and all the things one might do. Continue reading The Incorruptible Dream – A Telling Season
My Trees-A Small Rant – And Solutions…
This morning I looked out over the horizon and saw the turning of the trees creeping up on New England. In the midst of a government shutdown do the trees on Federal land know whether or not they are supposed to change? Are they even allowed to change?
So many are not being allowed to enter into the favorite parks to view foliage in light of the shutdown. They are being met with red signs that declare the “Government Shutdown” and the reasons for the closures. (Who paid for the signs? Did we?) How many will visit New England and not be allowed in? (Yay for Wisconsin who declared that many would not be shut down.) Continue reading My Trees-A Small Rant – And Solutions…
