Tonight I watched and listened as the sounds of worship permeated the air, I saw the air physically change color. The worship was gold as it left people’s mouths. As it lingered in the atmosphere of the room, the air began to develop a misty, pinkish color. Earlier it had been a pale green with a brightness to it. Worship was changing the rooms air. I could feel the weightiness of His presence. As I rested my hands over my heart, I could feel the changes of sounds breaking forth. An Atmosphere Of Love

leejohndrowteamThis morning I made a conscious decision to not “jump out” of bed. I lay there and listened to the sounds. As I often do, I meditated on the sounds, smells and activity of heaven. I began to think what the atmosphere looked like. What it truly would look like were it to be appropriated to earth in its entirety. As I wandered about the place, my hearing became more sensitive and I could hear love. The tangible, precious sound of love was in the atmosphere. It was not voices or sounds like you might think, but the sounds of molecules and atoms expanding and touching. The release of each contact was a sound unlike anything imaginable. Change That Changes

leejohndrowteamLast night I pondered my day and while I was sitting upstairs I thought, what is it that I can release into the atmosphere that I would know would change someone’s life. The thought came to me that I wanted to see myself somewhere else. I wanted a visitation to a “visible” heavenly place. I was not looking for angels or the Lord but I was seeking a piece of real estate “somewhere else”. Instantly I found myself “moving”. The purpose of my trip or the journey itself is not important. Destroy The Works Of The Enemy

leejohndrowteamThe enemy of our soul is alive and well, regardless of our belief or lack of belief in him. The devil and his minions move about looking to hurt, kill and destroy. I bring this up because lately I have noticed a number of folks who were struck down by a virus or disease that in many cases had slipped by undiagnosed. Ultimately each received the diagnosis by the most recent team of doctors. But in a few cases, some required 2, 3, even 4th or 5th doctors and teams. It would be one thing if the “disease” just noodled along, but in the most recent cases I had been involved in, the illness came in like gangbusters. To Mentor..Or Not To Mentor…Is There A Question?

MarcelLast night I had the opportunity to share on mentoring with the adult class at our VBS. (Which was epic this year!) One of the things the Lord shared with me some 15 years ago or so was. Every Timothy needs a Paul. Every Paul needs a Timothy. And every Barnabas needs a Paul.(And vice versa.)

Rather than make this a very long writing for a Saturday, I am going to break this up into a couple of parts. That thinking and subsequent decision is the result of listening to one of the best builders I know. A true Paul (Or Barnabas.) in my life. “If you guys can go to the other side of Houston, I can have you on your way home”, the dispatcher said. Home…we had not been to Vermont for nearly 6 weeks. As we left the truck stop, with the idea of a load going home, everything seemed to be going right. I climbed into the passenger seat and began to rest.

The dictionary defines influence (noun) as the following.

 

1. The capacity or power of persons or things to be a compelling force on or produce effects on the actions, behavior, opinions, etc., of others: He used family influence to get the contract.

A Word To Hear

At 3AM I heard this statement, “When in Rome do as the Romans do. When in heaven do as the heavenly do.” Wow! Where are you seated? And even as I say it out loud, I wonder is there something to “do as the heavenly dew.”

I am a word person. Not just from a biblical or faith perspective, but from a “what does it mean” perspective. Words have meaning and they have power. It is not about semantics (Now there is a Greek word. It deals with understanding based on historical or psychological emphasis.) but more importantly, the reality, getting the full flavor out of a word or it’s understanding.
