This morning while I was praying I felt the Lord quicken me about a word related to the Village fellowship my wife and I attend. Many want to know what “church” will look like in 2014.

This is what I believe The Village Church will see in the coming days.

Vision

Kerosene Lamp
As I prayed for Village I saw an older style kerosene lamp. Kerosene is often used in colder weathers to prevent gelling. The older lamp stood out to me as a place that is not yet moved to its potential. We are seeing the lamp attract a “working” class who are being readied to be set free by grace.

Roman Numerals
I heard the words vitality and vigor. I saw in Roman numerals. VV=55
A double portion of grace is coming upon this house.

A large barn
I also saw the lamp attracting many as it was in a larger, older barn where there was little light. I believe the barn is significant as a place of growth, harvest and birth.

A tremendous season of growth is moving upon us. With growth comes the need for change.  Our growth is going to precede our harvest which will precede the new birth we will see.

A large amount of our growth is going to be from young people. I see 18 and younger easily doubling and possibly tripling our adult population.

Computer Servers
I saw multiple computer servers on a table and the sense I got was two-fold. One is that we are going to see an increasing population of people who are called to serve. The second meaning was that we will have much need for storage or capacity for the people coming in. I see an increasing transient audience coming to Village

Because of that fact we are going to have to “learn” how to work with people who are often not here.

Lunar Module
I saw a lunar excursion module or “moon crawler” and felt that the atmosphere we encounter will be different and will be lighter, less gravity (both natural and solemnness) and the requirements will change. LEM’s were used to transport astronauts through environments that were strange or challenging. I believe the sign of the LEM and its appearance is indicative that we have the resource we need to deal with the most difficult or unusual of times.

Wine Bottles
I saw a large selection of wine bottles on a shelf and I sensed the Lord saying that this season is going to be a vintage year, a mark in time of outrageous gathering.

Russian Nesting Doll
I saw a Russian nesting doll. I believe this speaks of generations and ministry growth. There are generations  within each of us.

With these signs and vision, I believe the following.

• Growth is inevitable.
• Change is on the forefront.
• Gathering and harvest are at hand.
• The care of children is of utmost importance.
• “All hands on deck” is a motto of sorts.
• The life of Village is ramping up much like an international airport.
• We have only scratched the surface of grace. It is going to have a major increase in our lives.
• I believe the mixture of people is readying for an international, multi-cultural flavor despite our location.
• There will be a lot of “reproduction” in the coming days.
• We will be a light that will glow brightly in the midst of darkness.
• We will be a place of refuge.

Village is going to soon transition in such a way that much will be recognized. I think that in the very near future we will be known largely as a house of benevolence and grace. This nature will be attractive to those with a similar mindset.

• Children
  As mentioned before I saw such an increase and children. I felt God is raising up from within those who will care over these young ones, but I also saw folks from all over coming to help. I saw buses and I was reminded of the ministry of Bill Wilson (Metro World Child) and how many children are going to be touched.
• Adults Of all ages.
  Older adults-There are mountains in our lives but like Caleb, those mountains belong to us. We are going to see an increase in reaching out to those who are in nursing homes and hospitals.Younger adults are going to experience the resonance within their spirits of the voice of wisdom that is coming forth once again from the older.

• The building(s)
  I sense that we are going to be readying for major changes. God is sending us builders (We are just seeing a trickle.) and there is going to be a “revival” of sorts as in the day of Ezra and the rebuilding. But I also see there are multiple buildings and they are throughout the Keene area.
• Creativity
  We are entering a tremendous season of creativity. This will span the spectrum; arts, inventions, businesses and more!
• Generals
  Over the years this word has been talked about and used in many categories. But the coming days will reveal and locate and place “generals” who will have: “battle experience”, wisdom and strategy.
• Finance
  Village will be known as a place of benevolence (I have long said I want us to be known for our benevolence and hospitality.) and we will see a regional shift over this reason.

There will be a dovetailing of local and regional mindsets for the better of the region. We will see many walk in with needs who in turn make tremendous deposits of goodness into our midst.

I feel that we are to continue to be a house of blessing in such a way that even our enemies have no “accusation.”

In closing, I ask that you would receive this in the spirit it is given which is from a place of desire to see all come into the fullness of their call and the gift of God within them.

May the year 2014 open to you the opportunity and possibility of this mighty change in the region
