Who Has Seen The Rain?

Who has seen the rain?

I had just finished a motorcycle ride with my wife and we had come in to eat dinner. While dinner was finishing up, I heard those words. Great, a John Fogerty song. Creedence Clearwater Revival. I am pretty sure when I was a kid I was not even sure what a revival was or stood for. I knew it as an architecture style and little more. The original name of that band came from a “band member”, Creed. A beer, Olympia, the clear water. And the member’s renewed commitment to the band. Continue reading Who Has Seen The Rain?

A Revival Of Innocence

MarcelI woke at about 5 and as I lay there I thought but for a moment on what I had lost over the years. Not just me, but many. Perhaps it is just nostalgia. Maybe something that “can not be” but it triggered something in me.

Last night I attended a Vacation Bible School at our local fellowship. It is one of the best times of the year for me. Why? Because in so many areas it “reminds” me of what I grew up with. Now, I did not grow up in a church or ever attend a VBS (Nor do I think I was ever invited to one.) or anything related to the concept. But what it reminded me of was, a more “innocent”time if you will. Continue reading A Revival Of Innocence

The Whys Of The Wise

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

Sixteen years ago I wrote the following article. Amazing how much has changed. I value “why” more than “how” or “what”. I value action because “I can” and not because “I have to”. I control my time and not the other way around. I love more.

5/14/98 Action/Reaction

Yesterday, Tina and I had a conversation over action versus reaction. I told her that I wanted to be actionary, as so much of what I do as a pastor is from a reaction position. Continue reading The Whys Of The Wise

The Restoration Of Honor And Value

leejohndrowteamAfter a night full of “war” dreams I thought it prudent to just get up! Lots of them. I fully “expected” to see something like “WWIII Has Begun” with all those dreams.

The first dream seemed to be about the post Civil War era, though everything seemed modern. In the dream the North was forcing the South to remove their outer clothing. They gave them nothing in return for the outerwear, but somehow, “generic” clothing appeared. Continue reading The Restoration Of Honor And Value

Is It A Cat? A Dog? What Is It?

Pop and Gunter holding me
Pop and Gunter holding me

When I was child my greatest artwork hung at my grandparents and my parents. As life went on new artwork appeared and old art was taken down. The refrigerator door recorded the life of the family. (Which is good because when I was a kid they had some ugly colors. Avocado, burnt orange, chocolate and copper tone!)

And of course like many children, I was asked of the drawing “Is it a cat? A dog?” I am sure like many children I probably shook my head and said “guess again” as they “did not get it.”. As I grew older I probably scrawled what it was on the page. Cat, dog, tree… But at some point my drawing bettered and the questions became fewer. Soon that artwork was replaced with pictures of family outings and sports or perhaps short stories. Continue reading Is It A Cat? A Dog? What Is It?

A Dog With Two Bones- A Tale Of Choice

A Word To Hear
A Word To Hear

In one of my dreams a person had multiple choices before them and the words, “Caesar, Caesar” were being shouted out to them. Upon awakening, I came to the conclusion that the words were really “seize her” pointing out the answer to a choice.

When I was young I was told the story of a dog with two bones. In a nutshell it comes down to choices. The dog could not decide on which bone to choose, so it chooses none and does not eat. Too often in life we have a choice. Continue reading A Dog With Two Bones- A Tale Of Choice

Deliverance From Fear It Belongs To You

fearAs a longtime believer and being on a ministry team one of the things I am asked about often is deliverance. Can someone have a demon? What does that look like? How does that happen?

My experience with “deliverance” is a long one. I put deliverance in quotes because some, perhaps a lot of what I believe now is not what I have always believed. Perhaps one day I shall pen the differences. Continue reading Deliverance From Fear It Belongs To You

We Are Not Puppets

blue laserLast night as my wife and I were driving home, I saw amazing “blue lasers” come out of the sky. At first I thought it might be reflections in the air from a police car and its blue lights. But clearly they were directional blue as if shot from lasers.

I shared with my wife.

My thought at the time was simple. Continue reading We Are Not Puppets

How To Walk In More Grace And Avoid Manipulation

understanding1I love Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. To me it is one of the most freeing scriptures there is.  My life is Him living through me.

But lately, I have found myself jumping to the next scripture. Galatians 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. Continue reading How To Walk In More Grace And Avoid Manipulation

The Runway Of God 2014 – 10 Fresh Realities

Lee Johndrow
Lee is on staff with The Village Church in Swanzey New Hampshire. He functions prophetically and often writes from dreams and visions. This is a 2014 thought process from dreams and visions.

I live fairly close to our local airport. I love airports. As a child I would go to East Haven Connecticut’s Tweed New Haven Airport, lie on the roof of my parent’s car and watch them take off and land.

I enjoy going over to the Keene airport here where I live just to watch the planes land and take off. There is something about it that intrigues me. It is one thing to see automotive traffic converge at a 4 way intersection but still another to watch planes as they land or take off from the additional dimension of altitude.
