Spit Out The Bones

BARROCK1I do not know about you, but as one who has eaten just about everything under the sun (Though my friends will tell you I am not the sweet potato fan.) running into bones is often the least of your worries. But working through foods, eating the meat and spitting out bones is challenging to say the least. I remember one time a meal was prepared for us. The Indian family had taken their last chicken and chopped it up from stem to stern. Everything. You name it, it was in there. (One of my friends crunched down on what he thought was bone, but felt like glass. Welcome to cooked eyeballs.) Harder yet is the fact I come from an “eat it all” (Or no dessert!) generation. Honor does say I will eat sweet potatoes. Continue reading Spit Out The Bones

Prophecy Rooms Room 222

Today our church fellowship offers its second “prophecy rooms”. I think it is funny that it is on February 22nd. Prophetic rooms on 222. Room 222.

How many remember Room 222? Guess if you do, you can tell people you are 29 with perhaps 30 years of experience! I liked that show. It was about a school in California. Continue reading Prophecy Rooms Room 222

With Christ There Is More To Love

Yesterday I shared two dreams. My “concern” after reviewing them was that people are separating and leaving love behind.

Within 12 hours or less, I “ran” into a couple of things that just “prove” my thinking AND my need to act in an opposite spirit. An opposite spirit is for instance when someone sows discord you sow harmony, peace and grace. Continue reading With Christ There Is More To Love

Narrative Of A Revival of Religion 1834

Many years ago I lived in the community of Springfield. It was a fluke that triggered me to find this. The booklet was found and allowed to be copied by the library staff and faithfully transcribed by my wife , Tina.

A Move Of God Is A Move Of Love

Two dream settings

One was a school room for a get together of friends from a church I was involved in. In the dream people were invited to the gathering with the concept that our “agenda” was to love people. The difficulty came as we sat at tables to talk. After a while people began to walk out. They wanted teaching!

People went outside and finally returned after being upset that there was no “agenda”. Even in the re-announcement of what the purpose was people were disappointed that not more revelation was going to be given. (Funny they went outside to be “friends” with one another.)

The second dream was like a very large school. Huge areas, lots of students. But while I was walking around I sensed this shift.  A very clear division had begun to arise. What was supposed to be two sides of playing together began to turn very ugly. As I headed towards the stairs a young man with a rifle appeared and began to cut off my entrance to the open stairway. He came right at me and ran into me pushing me to the side. Others began to fight. Continue reading A Move Of God Is A Move Of Love

A Dog With Two Bones- A Tale Of Choice

A Word To Hear
A Word To Hear

In one of my dreams a person had multiple choices before them and the words, “Caesar, Caesar” were being shouted out to them. Upon awakening, I came to the conclusion that the words were really “seize her” pointing out the answer to a choice.

When I was young I was told the story of a dog with two bones. In a nutshell it comes down to choices. The dog could not decide on which bone to choose, so it chooses none and does not eat. Too often in life we have a choice. Continue reading A Dog With Two Bones- A Tale Of Choice

Incoming …A Lot In Between

My old home-The Harmonyville Grist Mill
My old home-The Harmonyville Grist Mill

Many years ago I built homes. We built some pretty extraordinary homes. In the early years we built in the Golden Triangle of Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountains. Later on over in the western part of Vermont. We built doctor’s offices, indoor swimming pools and lots in between. Continue reading Incoming …A Lot In Between

Motorcycle Meanderings March 19th 2009

I could be wrong, but I am feeling pretty secure in the fact that the weather is much nicer the last few days. The snow is melting out of yards and cellars may be a little damp, but the days are getting longer and I am feeling pretty excited that real motorcycle season is here. Oh, we may get a storm or two, but not enough to deter us. Many have already begun to rake yards and ready for gardens and flowers. I know my wife was out there making room for the plants breaking through. Continue reading Motorcycle Meanderings March 19th 2009

The Overlook In Your Life

A Word To Hear
A Word To Hear

While heading for the caffeine IV this morning I felt the nudge of the Lord. A simple word, overlook, opened up. It appeared. I began to think about it.

On a personal level, I felt the Lord saying there is an “overlook” or overlooked concept, application or method or action I had not implemented. I sat there for a moment and was reminded of my grandson’s prayer last night as he does with me when he is before bed. He often prays for his father, his mom to get work, all the people to be healed and such. Last night there was twist. He prayed that I would raise my mother and father from the dead. (Not really a stretch when you think Jesus’s death released people buried. Matthew 27:51-53) Wow! Teach them to believe for the impossible and… Continue reading The Overlook In Your Life
