Arisen In New England

leejohndrowteamA few days ago, I was praying about some things and I felt this powerful pressure come upon me. It caused me to sense I was in His presence. I grabbed my phone and recorded what was being said. Part of it I am going to share today. I sense that it is for today predicated on a few things. The world seems to be moving in slow motion this morning. And I had a powerful dream that I am going to have to process through. I had something totally different to work on this morning in mind, but I believe this is it. Continue reading Arisen In New England

Be Wary Of Eeyore-A Time Of Merry

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

“I saw that!”

Even as a child I saw things. Walking statues, dreams about dinosaurs, the knowledge about things before they happened. People think it is a blessing, but undisciplined, prophecy and seeing is a pain. In the beginning it is fun, but if you do not learn about rest and entering in to a place of peace, the things that are seen can be a great place of concern. (By the way I am NOT talking about being suspicious or wary of everything.)You find yourself thinking about people going through difficult things and hard times. The Thing About Love In The Church

leejohndrowteamMany years ago I was in preparation for a meeting. It was in Maine. I made the decision to take a young man with me. The meeting was in ministry to the unbeliever, specifically seekers of false religions, including witchcraft, new age and paganism. Continue reading The Thing About Love In The Church

Geography Matters To God

preachingatvillageFor many a year I have been taken with geography in the kingdom. The idea of being in the right place at the right time OR being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We relegate so much of the kingdom to “serendipity” rather than faith, discernment and wisdom.

How did we get here? Continue reading Geography Matters To God

“The Happiest Sound” To Be Heard

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

Years ago I met a man. He showed up on my doorstep. He was physically hunched over. His life changed by an accident. He said “I heard you would help me to get services”. I invited him in. A friend had told him about me and my wife. As I looked at this broken man I thought something is getting ready to happen. I asked if I could pray for him. As I did I could hear cracks and pops as bones and joints aligned. I was young in the Lord. Send me into a drug den to preach I was good with, but a man who was broken and hurt (One leg had shortened some 5 inches from the encounter of his vehicle and a ten wheeler.)I was not so good with. As I prayed for him he fell forward, across the coffee table (Aren’t people supposed to fall backwards?!?!?)and into my arms. He sounded like a breakfast cereal as snaps, crackles and pops kept coming from his body. I had a moment as his leg grew out. A while later I was looking at a new man. There was no trip to find him services that day or any other. He came to live with my wife and I. One of the many that would live with us over the years. Looking For God In All The Wrong Places

brightThis morning I was pondering a string of posts friends had put on Facebook about Bible school. Their thinking at this stage of the game and such. Value and such. I was more the Dr. Seuss kind of guy when it came to school. “Why fit in if you were made to stand out.” (I did try. Only yesterday I was asked why I never went to business school. The answer is simply, I am a terrible student. I can ace a test, get my home work done and race through the books but the physical “school” is virtually impossible for me.) But this is not about school or Bible school or any thing of the sort. Just the seed that was sown in my vivid imagination following some words I had heard earlier. (“Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.” Dr. Seuss.  I love Dr. Seuss. I have 3 series of childrens’ books I would love to write if I had the time!) Continue reading Looking For God In All The Wrong Places

Child Of Promise – Child Of Change

preachingatvillageI had seen this child before. I knew her from somewhere. Upon waking up I remembered I saw this child in a dream as I prepared for trip to participate in a revival. In the dream I was working on a home I had owned in the 80’s. A friend named Rose (His last name. Rose of Sharon?) was working alongside me. He had ordered a load of materials. As this monstrous truck unloaded, blocking traffic on the hill. There amongst the trees lay a child. Someone went to pick her up. But in the moment they walked away all the materials had been applied to the building. The house was built. They came over and gave me this child. I held her and she began to smile, to laugh. Her smile changed the weather! I could feel it, see it change. My friend looked at the house and said “great job”. I remember the burned down house that had been there weeks before. The work and labor to clean it up and get it ready to restore. (In reality the actual man who bought the house when I lived there had a last name that meant to cease, to stop, to halt!) But as I looked at the house, it was done! Finished! Complete! Continue reading Child Of Promise – Child Of Change

I Hear The Sound Of Rain

You never know the impact.
You never know the impact.

There is nothing more pleasant than to sit under a porch on a summer’s day and listen to the rain. You can hear it on the roof, you can hear the wind of its falling as it passes through your view. You can hear it on trees and bushes and it is almost as if you can hear the plants reaching out with open mouths. You can sense the sound of satisfaction in the air. I have spent many a rainy day on a porch, just looking out, listening. Continue reading I Hear The Sound Of Rain
