Grace Happens. Let Go And Let God. First Things First. Live And Let Live.
My Mom had found Al Anon and those bumper stickers began to appear everywhere in our home. Most notably the refrigerator. And frankly I did not understand them so much as I was thinking I should. Especially that one that said “Let go and let God”. What does that mean? I heard a lot of people tell me what they thought it meant. And that one upset me. In part because my relationship with God was non-existent. (Being told God can’t help you by a well meaning minister when it came to drugs, caused me to walk away from anything “God related”. So my mom’s new found “love’ was getting to me.) Continue reading Letting Go And Letting God→
We came to this very large old “opera house” that seemed to be close to the water. We walked up to the large double doors. We could not get them open. But we all felt we were to be inside. We walked around the building and checked the other doors. And then I looked up. There was an open window. I was convinced we were to be here and inside. So, I found a ladder and climbed up to the window. As I walked through the very old building I thought to myself “there is a discovery here”. I went downstairs and opened the doors. This morning I saw a vision that captivated me. It was not long, but it was powerful.
What I saw were men and women of all ages coming into cities and communities. I was reminded of the scripture from the book of Jonah 3:3, So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, three days’ journey in breadth. And like Jonah they were bringing a message.Continue reading Sent To The World→
This morning I woke up “blank” . Usually I awaken to something. A thought, a picture or an idea.his morning as I came down the stairs, I realized there was nothing on the “stove” of percolation. Nothing revealed, nothing seen. “God, have I missed something?” I asked. Continue reading Grace Is The Sweetest Sound→
When people ask me about my family, I am excited. (Probably because I realize God is excited about His family!)I am excited not just for the love and the affection shown, but especially the little ones. They are not hardened by life lived religiously or life from the world. There is an innocence. But, my favorite is my walks of discovery with them. Continue reading Revelation, Rest, Relax And Rule→
ISIS, Ebola, EV-D68, ABC123…Okay, the last one is not a real one…yet…
I am jumping out into the deep end this morning. I want to talk about fear mongering. Most of us know what fear is. We have experienced it. Perhaps it was a frightening situation in a vehicle, the sickness of a family member, or well, something like Halloween. Ask me about those and I am more than willing to share my experience! But, what has come to me recently is the amount of people who are living in fear. Continue reading Being A Vessel Of Light→
Too often in our lives we encounter mundanity. We begin something and it it lasts longer than we had anticipated. Or perhaps circumstances in our life have changed causing the need for the existence to last but a little longer. Continue reading Mundanity – You Don’t Have To Live There!→
When I was a child I thought a sock monkey was God. Someone heard me share the story and made me a new sock monkey.
I jumped from the ledge. The trip down ended suddenly as I splashed down into the mud and water. I was finally able to work my way out. Where I had fallen to was still imprinted with my “image” and remained that way for several days. Continue reading Legacy Is A Footprint Recording→
Does God heal? That question was brought to me this week by a man in need of healing. My answer is and always will be what the scriptures tell us. He heals. But do I believe it? Absolutely. Even when it does not work? Yes. How can you say that? Because His Word is true and truth. But even with your experience? Yes. Continue reading Does God Heal?→
