You Are Welcome In This Place

marcell and IThe other morning I wrote about what makes our community viable, authentic and loving. I posted 4 points or traits. I realized that perhaps I needed to expound on them. Why? Because I think we get inundated with “bullet” points and tainted with language and its usage. The over use of words has dumbed down the meaning. It has reduced our understanding and caused us to be casual. Add in our potential for “been there done that” thinking that leads us to “next” and too often we miss the point. What Makes Us Different?

leejohndrowteamToday I get to be with friends and family. I have had a powerful weekend with many.

Having our friend Randall share on the topics of authenticity, legacy and generations definitely touched my heart strings. And gave me a greater appreciation than I had for him only moments before. Continue reading What Makes Us Different?

An Atmosphere Of Love

leejohndrowteamThis morning I made a conscious decision to not “jump out” of bed. I lay there and listened to the sounds. As I often do, I meditated on the sounds, smells and activity of heaven. I began to think what the atmosphere looked like. What it truly would look like were it to be appropriated to earth in its entirety. As I wandered about the place, my hearing became more sensitive and I could hear love. The tangible, precious sound of love was in the atmosphere. It was not voices or sounds like you might think, but the sounds of molecules and atoms expanding and touching. The release of each contact was a sound unlike anything imaginable. Correcting Our Course

leejohndrowteamLast night I had a number of dreams about education, teaching or going to hear a teacher. Perhaps these dreams are occurring because I have bemoaned the fact that children seem to be being taught less, if taught at all. That  young people are not receiving the necessary understanding to step into life or they have not decided it is valuable enough to implement skills predicated on what they are being taught. Hopelessness seems to be at an all time high, particularly in schools. Continue reading Correcting Our Course

Whole Lotta Shaking’ Going On

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

When Elvis Presley sang about being “all shook up” he was talking about love. But here so many years later there are people walking about who are all shook up, as well… And it is about love. His love for us!

The declaration of “your kingdom come, your will be done here on earth as it is in heaven” is an invitation for shaking. An invitation to God to appear. To emerge through His people. The earth at one point had fallen under the kingship of evil. It is being shaken. Exactly what can be shaken? Empires, governments, monarchies, banks, businesses, churches, families, individuals and anything else available! Continue reading Whole Lotta Shaking’ Going On

Your Light Will Break Forth

leejohndrowteamJim Morris told us in 1966 to “break on through to the other side”.

Many of us have desired breakthrough. Part of it is coming to an understanding of what we are leaving, moving through and headed towards. Over the years I have heard a lot of prophetic words on breakthrough. People get excited. (I do.) But at some point we must look at what it means. It is one thing for me to offer you a candy bar. “You shall have chocolate.” Another if chocolate is not high on your radar screen. It also brings more excitement and understanding to your world, if for instance someone says “you shall have a Payday” and that is your favorite candy bar in the whole wide world! Without The Shedding Of Blood…

leejohndrowteamI recently found out that some of my grandchildren had not been to see sap boiled in a New England sugar house. So, I made the decision to take them.

A friend has a sugar house and yesterday after checking with him, I found out what time they would begin boiling. Determining that, we headed out a short time later. As we went up the hill to the small farm, my mind flashed to times in my life where I had helped to gather sap, get it to the sugar house and spend way too many hours to develop what many call “liquid gold”. (I love the taste.) Continue reading Without The Shedding Of Blood…

Off The Treadmill To Still Waters

leejohndrowteamHamster wheels and treadmills.

Those two thoughts are often used to describe life when it begins to develop a momentum of its own or fails to get the user to where they need to be or desire to be. Since my short few days at the hospital last week I have taken a long, hard serious look at my life and what I need to change or at least put under the microscope. So many thoughts run through my mind as to how I arrived at this place. Continue reading Off The Treadmill To Still Waters
