Maneuvering Disappointment

growingupI have a fast growing friend who is going through a series of serious disappointments. He hardly sees his daughter, has a difficult relationship with his ex and finds himself recently losing a “significant other”. After months of “hearing” I knew stepping out into the waters of relationship were on the plate. I did. Yesterday, he shook my hand and said, “thanks for being a friend”. Atmospheres Are What you Make Them

2014-03-15 11.16.51I awoke today feeling a little “disconnected”. I am not sure the cause but something feels different. Even though, as I have for over 20 plus years, awoke with a song running in the background and people on my heart. That part is the same. But I thought about people who are “missing” out on His goodness because of fear. Continue reading Atmospheres Are What you Make Them

Where Does My Hope Come From?

preachingatvillageToo often in our lives we are confronted with the idea that we don’t count. That what we do does not matter.

The last week I watched yet one more crazy incident affect the lives of neighbors, school children and a community. The issue is not the incident itself but the feeling of hopelessness that has gripped the community. As I read the blogs, the articles, the comments, it is clear that the “insecurity” that has prevailed is increasing rather than decreasing. “Doesn’t God love everyone Lee?” Absolutely! I believe that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Continue reading Where Does My Hope Come From?

“Growth Is Excessive” Because God Is!

leejohndrowteamI read that headline, “Growth Is Excessive” and thought, is it possible? The story was just as exciting…

In a dream I had it was very dark and yet over where the fence was I saw 4 lights like that you might see on a radar screen. “Lee, you have to go get them” I was told. I did not want to but I finally got up and ran down the darkened path to where these lights were. I got them and returned with them. My heart was pounding.

The lights had been carriers of darkness in the dream. They were targets to be removed. It was time to shut them out. And they were. Continue reading “Growth Is Excessive” Because God Is!

Losing Wait Is A Light Thing

fearThe low flying helicopter was seen far out on the water. The people on the shore were shouting to the men starting the helicopter on the shore, “shut it off! It’s the DEA!” I barely had time to gather my stuff and they were leading me into a warehouse. Everywhere I looked was merchandise. But not drugs from what I could see. Household goods, supplies and such were everywhere.

Once again I found myself in a dream that kept going all night. Be taking here and there I was traveled about in limos and large black town cars. I awoke this morning and let me tell you, I felt like I had been “up” all night. I never remember “waking” up here, but I was awake all the time in the dream. Deliverance From Fear It Belongs To You

fearAs a longtime believer and being on a ministry team one of the things I am asked about often is deliverance. Can someone have a demon? What does that look like? How does that happen?

My experience with “deliverance” is a long one. I put deliverance in quotes because some, perhaps a lot of what I believe now is not what I have always believed. Perhaps one day I shall pen the differences. Continue reading Deliverance From Fear It Belongs To You

Shhhh… Listen! Do You Smell The Sound Of Fear?

fearI think about the fear I see grip people. I think about how much goes unaccomplished in our world over the issue of fear. I accept the fact that fear can be a perceived or real issue.

Some 30 years ago, I remember watching a horror movie on a 19” black and white Sony. I remember the boy climbing into the coffin and I clearly remember the body jumping up. That was it. TV off, lights off.

I had been a horror film watcher for years and all of a sudden this one “got” me. Years later I became involved in witchcraft and I cannot begin to tell you the journey of fear. I do not watch fright films or horror films and have not for many a year. (Who needs the spirit of fear in your home or life?) I like life without fear. That is not to say in my “born again” experience I have not been afraid and had to overcome it a time or two. Continue reading Shhhh… Listen! Do You Smell The Sound Of Fear?

Y2K A Dim Reminder

Many who read this may not remember Y2K or its meaning. A few days ago I was reminded again of the power of media and fear mongering. Reading the “woes” of A&E and Duck Dynasty simply reminded me of two things. How great our God is and how “bent” some of our society is, specifically the media. (Let’s not grow our kids away from the media, but let’s put men and women of integrity in them!)

fearI remember vividly the Y2K impact. Y2K was The Year 2000 problem (also known as the Y2K problem, the Millennium bug, the Y2K bug, or simply Y2K) was a problem for both digital (computer-related) and non-digital documentation and data storage situations which resulted from the practice of abbreviating a four-digit year to two digits.
