It “seems” like “it” is in the air. The disconnects, the changes, even the heart breaks. Last night my prayer list grew, my phone rang and I thought, I am “taking it in stride”, meaning the flow of things. Apparently taking it in stride was not best approach. I spent a lot of the night “up” and away. While I was “up” I was praying. While I was away I was seeing, as dreams took me all over the place. Yes, it was a pretty sleepless night. But it reminded me that to pray was the “word” of the day, night and all in between. Continue reading Mixing Their Faith With The Promise

Close Encounters Of The God Kind
A week or so ago, I wrote on to tactics of the enemy. One was being disconnected. The other was an attack on health. I received a lot of communication from folks indicating that they were encountering one or the other, or sometimes both. The issue is not whether I correctly saw, but what we are going to do with it.
In December of 2005, I had a couple of dreams. They were brought back to me. Continue reading Close Encounters Of The God Kind
The Restoration Of Honor And Value
After a night full of “war” dreams I thought it prudent to just get up! Lots of them. I fully “expected” to see something like “WWIII Has Begun” with all those dreams.
The first dream seemed to be about the post Civil War era, though everything seemed modern. In the dream the North was forcing the South to remove their outer clothing. They gave them nothing in return for the outerwear, but somehow, “generic” clothing appeared. Continue reading The Restoration Of Honor And Value
Are You In Irons Or Encountering A Lull?
I admit I get agitated by the thinking that we are always contending for some thing. Always got to work hard or harder. I do believe in the finished work of Christ and the need for us to to deliver the world from itself by exposing the lies that work against peace and rest. I don’t believe leaving my place of rest.
I do understand. Last night a few of us gathered for a meal and at some point we prayed about children and generations to come. Amongst us there are personal desires and needs. Recently my wife and I stepped into a world of change that while not unfamiliar has brought new challenges. Things to overcome. Continue reading Are You In Irons Or Encountering A Lull?
Changing Your World
In a dream, I found myself on an island helping a friend move off the island. There were all sorts of delays and finally all his belongings were put into a container and readied to leave. And then my job was to get to the airport and get on a plane to return to the US.
The decision was made to wait a few days rather than be pressured in the leaving.
I awoke with a sense of dissatisfaction because I had not left and felt as if something had not been completed. Continue reading Changing Your World
The Floodgates Are Opening
The little old lady walked me to the door. While she walked me through the beautiful home she kept talking about travel. We reached the door and I walked down a very narrow ramp. As we reached the bottom large animals that looked much like rhinoceroses came into view, running across the front yard. We continued to speak of travel and I shared stories from trips to California and flights that had been taken.
Her parting words hit me. “You travel well.”
I awoke and thought, “do I?” Continue reading The Floodgates Are Opening
The Enemy Has Come To Steal Rest
The enemy is working overtime to get you to step out of the rest Jesus provided for you. He is out to provide you with the best set of rules known to man but set aside by God Himself. No longer to drag you into the works mentality that Jesus provided a way out from.
VISION
Yesterday during service two objects appeared to me. The first was a hand grenade. For two days I had been hearing the word encampment. I saw barricades and blockades and then as I saw the grenade dropped it was nuclear in it’s force. Continue reading The Enemy Has Come To Steal Rest
Playing Games – Too Often What We See Is Like Playing A Game
This morning as I thought about our local church fellowship I reflected on many of the church fellowships that I have attended over the years. The majority of the church fellowships that I have been involved in including one that I pastored for 15 years often looked at a need and went to bring reparation to the need. Too often that method has the potential to burn people out. Continue reading Playing Games – Too Often What We See Is Like Playing A Game
The Last Week July 29th 2013
Over the last week or so I have seen and heard of many difficult times and troubles occurring in people’s lives. It was almost as if the planets had “unaligned.” I have seen relationship break ups, disasters, sickness, pain and more in the last week. Our own life was touched by the fact that we had arranged a sale of our boat, RV, stove and household contents. By Wednesday they had all evaporated. (Tina and I were not counting on the money, but it would have made life a shade easier.)
So, as people who believe in the finished work of Jesus, the seatedness of our person at the right hand of the throne of God and our faith in Him, what do we do with that? I was encouraged yesterday to hear someone else say “do not make a methodology” of why it did not happen. We can just chalk it up to mystery. Refreshing!
On the other hand we are to stretch forth our hands and declare the wonderfulness of our God. We are to encourage our brothers and sisters in the goodness. Meanwhile there are those declaring and decreeing the opposite. The “witchcraft” is evident to me and to others. I do not totally know how these things “gain” power or rights, but somehow they get it.
I sense we are in a season of “hard work” not works. Our labor is to enter His rest. (It will be evident by our walk, not our words.) God is determined to see us reliant on Him and Him alone. The result of this type of season is usually that. My friend Dan spoke yesterday about moving from glory to glory and seeing what God was moving to, to being synched up. I think there is much value in this way of thinking. We must see. Yesterday I said to a young woman, “we see heaven because we live there not because we have to get there.” What we see is important.
Our life is to take dominion over the works of the enemy and make earth look like heaven. I do think there are always seasons until we take full dominion. What I mean by that is so much of what we do has shelf life. Songs, ministries, words, even certain relationships. We hate to hear that sometimes, but experience and the word show me the truth behind that. When I look at life as a collection of seasons, I can accept and walk out the good, the bad, the ugly.
So what is legacy? It is that which has eternal promise. That truth which will transcend the generations. Perhaps that which Jesus calls “gold.”
If you have been experiencing the weaponry of the enemy and feeling like it is a difficult time, I get it. For some it is. But at the end of the day we are not subject to the work of the enemy. We are subject to the goodness of God. But it is not about getting angrier, shouting more or freaking out, it is about remembering who you are. Where you are seated and whose team you are on.
Jesus paid the price and set the rules in motion. We get to walk with it. Enter into His rest.
The Whys and The Wise
There were two families. One was Whys and the other Wise. The Why’s were all about figuring it out and doing more. The Wise were about enjoying what had been done.
The Whys said, when asked how to be with God, “pursue, chase.”
The Wise said, “why do you chase that which has been given?”
Hebrews 13:5
The Whys when asked about their “debt,” responded “pay up.”
The Wise said, “why do you try to pay that which has been paid?”
1 Corinthians 7:23
The Whys said how do you follow Jesus, “die to yourself.”
The Wise said, “why do you ‘die’ when you are already dead?”
Galatians 2:20
The Whys said “let us work hard to get to Him.”
The Wise said, “why do you chase that which has been given?”
Galatians 1:2
Jesus did not die for you. He died as you. The New Covenant is predicated on a covenant between God and God. You have been crucified, died, been buried (those three took care of the Adamic nature) and quickened, raised and seated with Him.
The difference between a servant and a son is how you identify with Christ.
Do not let lyrics or words put you in bondage. We labor to enter His rest. It was on the day of rest, man came forth. It is from rest we move and have our being. Do not ever have to ask “who has bewitched you.” It is not wise to be Whys.
