Controversy Can Lead To Solutions

brightThis morning while pondering thoughts, events and such, I began to think on the following. Before I begin I want to establish “this is opinion” and not to be construed to be teaching or doctrine. (I do not want my phone pinging through worship this morning!) A Snippet Can Tip It

preachingatvillageYesterday I came home from work to see my wife had hung a bunch of pictures, paintings and photos. I had seen them years before but the last few years since the loss of our home it has been low on the priority list to hang anything up and they were in a closet. So I found it pretty cool. (A while ago someone gave me a word about hanging pictures. I wish I remembered who, but I see they were right.) I looked at them and thought about origins and beginnings. A few years ago I described prophecy as “pictures on the wall”. Jacob came in and he was impressed with Tina’s work as well Continue reading A Snippet Can Tip It

A New Side Of Prepping

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

Yesterday I wrote on revival and more specifically the growing wave of His presence in the New England area. Many many people read and shared this word with friends and of course, I would like to say thank you. I think the growing consensus is that what we embraced, held fast during powerful times of revival, renewal and the presence of God did not carry over into the lives we lived. I get it. People quit jobs, left spouses and abandoned children. But any believer who has opened their Bible knows that, that type of behavior is NOT reflective of God, His character or His teaching. That response was not God. Continue reading A New Side Of Prepping

Can You Hear The Train?

leejohndrowteamWe walked around looking at the track. One section of the train track was in need of repair. And then there was the train itself. The chief came over to us and said “everything you have been doing is on hold. The only thing I want from you is to get this train up and running”. Continue reading Can You Hear The Train?

Can It Be? The Sounds Of Change?

preachingatvillageThe shooting was increasing. I could see the people shooting included people I knew. People that I considered family. Why were they shooting? What was going on? I was pinned down by the shooting. There was no communication available. I finally turned to the group and said “I can not take this any more. Someone needs to do something. I am going to head out.” As I began to head towards the middle of the clearing light began to fill the air. I was not sure from where but in the midst of darkness confidence filled me and I headed towards the center. I called out for peace. Angelic beings began to appear. I was stirred. Not with anger, but with the knowledge that something great was happening. People laid down their weapons. They began to come out of the woods, the shadows. They faces were tear streaked as they entered the clearing. They awaited judgment. I smiled and began to reach out to hug them. To encourage them all would be well. Continue reading Can It Be? Letting Go And Choosing God

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

This week I will attend the funeral of a young person. This week I met with a young person planning for his future.

The tale of two places. One ahead. One dead. Through out life we encounter choice, chance and opportunity. What will we do? How will we choose? Continue reading Letting Go And Choosing God

Letting Go Of Yesterday

leejohndrowteamYesterday before I went off to be part of the church at our local fellowship, I saw this and wrote it on my ministry page. Lots of people read it and shared it..

This morning I saw words being shed. Words of destruction and words of hurt. I saw the shedding of pain. I saw new words being spoken. New words of goodness, grace and greatness. Continue reading Letting Go Of Yesterday

I Came That You Might Think

"Use me!"
“Use me!”

Have you seen the horse? Do you see a table or people? Let me know when you know how many frogs there are.

“Lee, what are you talking about?”

I am talking about those drawings that appear on Facebook or in a kid’s Highlight magazine. The ones where a drawing has more than one figure. Or you are asked to see how many of something exist in a picture. The purpose being to cause you to think. To see outside the norm. To evaluate and not just move on to the next thing without thinking. Continue reading I Came That You Might Think

I Can Because I Want To!

preachingatvillageAs I entered the large Christmas store, I was excited. I had my decorated bag in my hands. It had my stuff in there. Things I had brought. Nothing fancy or extravagant, but they were mine. They were things I carried. As I walked into the store I was ready for the beauty of Christmas. I opened the door and there were large empty shelves. It looked like there had been something there, but nothing to make me say “wow, I am here”. I was actually a little bit bummed I think. As I passed some of the shelves there were the helpers, the elves and I thought “this is weird. Where was the joy?” They looked down at the bag in my hand and while I thought they might ask to hold it, they did not. Continue reading I Can Because I Want To!

Creativity In All The Right Places

leejohndrowteamThis morning I had a dream that was so real. So amazing. When I awoke I wanted it to be real. The reason is the person in the dream I have been praying for for almost 20 years. The dream had the “real” compassion of God locked up in it. Continue reading Creativity In All The Right Places
